Oolong, I really enjoy the contribution, but most of your suggestions get lost, since they're just part of the stanzas. your translation for stanza 8 was great though. :V:

edited "red moon" and "Intermezzo" according to Oolongs translations (most of them).

thx, Oolong! I haven't had the time to think the translations through more carefully.... :XD:

Oolonguuu! is it "Resound the song of love, like flames"
or "Resound the song of love, like a flame" ??
or maybe there was nothing to add ?

In Japanese, there is basically no distinction between singular and plural nouns.
If I were to choose, it would be "a flame".

"I have a dream"
stanza 2
(mistype)
Hontou ga mienai kimi no hitomi

Hontou wa mienai kimi no hitomi

I have a dream

Stanza 2
What color are your eyes
that don’t see the truth?
I want to find the sky you see

The truth is, your eyes can’t be seen
What color are they?
I want to find the sky you are looking at

Stanza 3
I have a dream
very modest
even if I can’t tell you at all

I have a dream
It’s too tiny to tell you, though

Stanza 5
Surely my heart is really nowhere
even so
there is something we are making

Maybe our hearts are nowhere
Even so
there is something that makes us

the last stanza
Time goes, we miss each other and meet again
relecting upon the frozen day of winter
morning comes, rubbing my eyes
I walk through the crowd
for you, for me
the world keeps spinning dreams

Time goes by, we'll miss each other and meet again
relishing the winter days when we were freezing
Morning comes, I rub my eyes and walk through the crowd
For you, and for me
the world keeps weaving dreams

Hikari no Senritsu

Stanza 1
Is the brilliance of this sky
Reaching your chest?
The tune you dreamed of is like its quietness

Is the brilliance of this sky
reaching your heart?
Like a silence, the tune I dreamed of will…

(胸 "mune" doesn't only mean "chest", but also "heart")

Stanza 4
The truth is, no one could hear it
Such a sound it was
But it echoed cheerfully in everyone’s chest

The truth is, no one could hear it
Such a sound it was
But it echoed cheerfully in everyone’s heart

Stanza 7
When I sang alone, it was just a bit lonely

When I sang alone, I was just a bit lonely

Stanza 8
The real pain
Was when I touched your chest
The tune I dreamed of
Is like its quietness

When the true pain touches your heart
Like a silence,
the tune you dreamed of will…

Stanza 9
The sound of the sky echoes, high over your sorrow
We’re living here and now for the day when we can laugh together
Not even kindness or dreams can keep me here
Within the vanishing light, I make music out of tomorrow

The sound of the sky echoes, high over your sorrow
Until the day when we can laugh together about the fact we are alive here
We can’t keep neither kindness nor dreams here
In the vanishing light, make music out of tomorrow (←an imperative sentence)

The last stanza
Because you think you aren’t a match
For the eternal truth your hands will grasp before long
With a rather loud voice
You named the song ‘hope’ and cried
Certainly it’ll reach the hearts of dreamers

Before long your hands will grasp the eternal truth
Because you think it won't come true,
With a loud voice,
You named the song "hope" and cried
Certainly it’ll reach the hearts of dreamers

Ashita no Keshiki

stanza 1
why are the sad sceneries always the ones
that remain the prettiest deep in our hearts?
the hesitant moonlight is still not sinking
and sealed us inside the night

Why are the sad sceneries always the ones
that are most beautiful and remains deep in our hearts ?
The hesitant moonshadow is still not set
and sealed us inside the night

stanza 2
Goodbye
until now I can’t put to words
though I hurt you many times
since from now on its a path I’ll return to alone
I let my fingers go from the moon’s bright house

Goodbye
Until now, I couldn't put it into words
and I hurt you many times
But I can go back on this path alone
Let my fingers go before the moon loses its light

stanza 3
-mistype
yoake ni obie teru tayori nai mirai wo
mabushisa to namida de mukaeyo wo

yoake ni obie teru tayori nai mirai wo
mabushisa to namida de mukaeyou

In the dawn, fearing the helpless future
let’s welcome the radiance with tears

With a radiance and tears, let's welcome the undependable future
that is in fear of the dawn

stanza4
We are born alone, but can’t live alone
why do we get bewildered and cry together?
do we want confort? do we want to hold each other?
We’re not living with only a beautiful heart

Why are we born alone, not able to live alone?
and in tears, bewildered by our twoness ?
"I want to confort you" or "I want to keep holding you"
We can't live with just beautiful minds like these

stanza 5
While looking back many times
to the open door I can’t return through
the last sign leading to tomorrow

While looking back many times
I open the door that I can't return through
The last sign leading to tomorrow

stanza 6
the wind blows from winter to spring
so the flowers will soon smell sweet
inside these repeating days, heart
be always in full bloom

As the wind blows from winter to spring
and flowers smell sweet before long
Be in full bloom, my heart
Always in these repeating days

stanza 7
The dawn is closing in
I can’t see the moon anymore
let’s start from here
today and tomorrow

The dawn is closing in
I already can’t see the moon
From here, let's start
today and tomorrow

the last stanza
goodbye
the shadows I see off will soon be white
until they disappear inside a gentle time

Goobye
Until the shadow I see off
whitely fades into a sweet time...

I know, but I like "chest". specially, because I've seen "mune" and "kokoro" in the same song.

@ZERO

心(kokoro) is something like "mind" or "spirit" ,in which the feelings and emotions are thought to be.

In contrast, "chest" is just a part of a body, isn't it?

chest [countable]
1 the front part of your body between your neck and your stomach [↪ breast]: Her heart was pounding in her chest.
a hairy chest
chest pain/infection/injury He collapsed with severe chest pains.
➔ flat-chested
2 a large strong box that you use to store things in or to move your personal possessions from one place to another: a large wooden chest
