@george1234 For sure I can play Hear Our Pray and Kaze no Machi he... but I wanted to play something from Fate/Zero. The question is if I can play it by hearing... it's so difficult :@_@:

You could try transcribing it and writing it using music notes on staff lines. I've got my hands full but I'm sure someone can help you. Just slow the music down and listen carefully.

I'm just proud of myself for getting this far and not giving up.
 
I've been trying to find time to record but I'm super busy with work experience and upcoming end of term tests, I'll try next month :((((((
 
y'know George looking at your posts on this thread really makes me think that you're still bitter about cover album being the poll winner just because you can't sing well and you actually seem to try to drag other people down and/or try to make them feel inadequate in their ability to sing, as if you're overcompensating for your own inability :p and for instrumental parts, there actually are many softwares that can change/shift the pitch/key for the songs so that shouldn't be a problem.

Just sit back and relax, George. Why don't you contribute by making the booklet, or at the very least, write some message for Kajiura? I don't know if being the one who sends the birthday project from cpm every year makes your head big or not but imo that doesn't really matter at all. my advice, just stop nitpicking other people's creativity and try to actually be useful. If you don't want to participate, just shut up, do nothing and be supportive to what other people are doing.

I'm pretty much George's constant critic and advisor but what can I say, I can't keep my thoughts to myself.

And since I'm too lazy to post in media appearance thread: Hikaru still sounded like shit - her tone is still unpleasant to hear but at least she actually hit the notes.

i just said that liminality is a difficult song to sing (even the girls sing it rare).

No i dont think my head gets big or anything, im just waiting for people to decide who does what.

I am always making intro text for Kajiura but that's the last step.

how do we want to do the booklet? A collection of anything or themed? Previous suggestions:

Those who don't want to make covers can work on the booklet, maybe someone can make some drawings for it, would be cool to have a cover for the soundtrack.
Others can take photos of things they think suits Yuki's music and we can use them as backgrounds for each page in the booklet. Maybe write in a corner where the photos were taken to show her where her fans come from.
And then people can write massages to her that we can put on the pages, or something else...I don't know.

We had done the map on previous year, maybe we could use the same but alter the data ?
we had also done the photo-associate with song thing too (look at links in first post of thread)
the lyrics in native language is interesting part, but it would be just visual since she will probably no able to read most of it XD

maybe just a few lines would be a nice visual then

once the tracklist seems settled I may ask around to see if any artists in the fandom would draw something related to the songs, if we want to go with the song-based booklet.

Booklet contributors now includes @HimeWakana and @juchanx3

@Westkana can play the opening flute part of Hikari no Senritsu (but with an oboe). Can play for other songs

proposed song completion date: August 1st

If u need some acoustic guitar instrumentals, feel free to ask me so that I could transcribe some chords immediately and record it :)

And If there's much time left, I would like to make some artworks for the booklet, too. ;)
 
If time permits, I'd like to submit a vocal cover too, though I haven't decided on a song. Else I'll just contribute to the booklet.

As long as it's done by August 1st you're all good. That's in just over 2 months time
 
I want to cover Beach from Xenosaga III. I also want to help out with making an instrumental for Canta Per Me.
If you guys are interested in making it like the live version, (on FictionJunction 2010-2013 The BEST of Yuki Kajiura LIVE, vol 2) I could play the drums for that.
Just a suggestion of course, I don't know if anyone has already planned something else for that song.
 
I wish I was more confident in my violin playing ability (I've been taking lessons for 13 years, but still not very good) so that I could help with the cpm instrumental part as well. *sigh* I hope I can play sapphire well, I did okay tonight on it. I just have to get the vibrato down. It's still hard for me. I can also help with the booklet. Maybe for each song lyric page there can be a picture in the background, maybe one from each member? That way it'll be even more sentimental.

And I am just going to use my phone for recording, or my dad's iPad. They have pretty good sound quality and then I upload to YouTube, then download the mp3 version. Just a suggestion.
