I try to record too, need to find some time v___v
Are we allowed to use the official karaoke/instrumentals?
aaand I'll probably will take here we stand in the morning dew (and I have a dream if I have time oo/)

@Westkana can play the opening flute part of Hikari no Senritsu (but with an oboe
Clarinet, not oboe. They look and sound similar, yes, but are two entirely different instruments.

I've been working on a concert band arrangement for neverending, so I may be able to let that be used. If anyone would like to use it as instrumental, just let me know so I can remove the main (vocal) parts.

I have Voice Mate, which is like that I think, I have Android too. It's kind of sad practicing now without my violin teacher. She retired as of Sunday. *sigh* Not sure if I'll get a new one just yet.

Btw, I am also working on a string quartet version of Hikari no Senritsu's TV size, which is a lot easier to transpose than neverending :XD:. I already have up to the chorus finished in terms of the chords, so that should be finished soon. I'm doing it on a sheet music writing program called "MuseScore" that has MIDI playback, but if we can find players for the actual instruments, that would be awesome. The instruments included are: Violin (x2, probably need 3), Viola, and Cello. I know @Liana_Ilia plays violin, but does anyone else play any of the instruments I listed?

Finished :sohappy:to whom do I send the files?

For the booklet, are you using PS? If yes, I can help too~
As for recording on the computer: if you have a headset, you can use Audacity

I always remember about this project too late, it seems, as I'm not a regular forum contributor. Nevertheless, I don't see anywhere that says no more submissions are welcome (let me know if I have missed this very announcement, and I will retreat, humbled).

I am a classically trained mezzo-soprano (three years training) and my range encompasses G3 to Bb5 so pretty much anything in Kalafina/ large group FJ repertoire except Keiko's lowest parts.

I noticed that @juchanx3 wanted to do something from Fate/Zero. It just so happens that I am in possession of a TV size piano score for to the beginning (which I'm open to trying to adapt for different instruments). It looks pretty difficult to play, but I'm sure someone with a few years' piano study could manage. I also have sheet music (transcribed by me, by ear) for all three vocal parts plus Kaida's chorus. All parts are in my range, so I could sing all or any, if someone else wants to jump onboard. Same goes for Kimi no Gin no Niwa, and storia.

Also, to @magicmagiamahou, should you be in need of a second voice for sis puella magica, I'm already fully familiar with both melody and harmony.
Finally, I don't know why you would, but if anyone needs a soprano or tenor recorder (the wind instrument) part to supplement any of this, I'd be glad to help.

Once again, my apologies if I have overlooked something...

@Puddle Boots Thanks for your offer, but I don't have any need for another voice. But you're classically trained??? 3 YEARS???? Senpai!!!

Anyway, it's been very hard to record lately. Very behind on homework....

Same, my cold is clearing up but I just don't want to sound like a giant nasal-y monster.

@Puddle Boots You're extremely lucky to be classically trained. I've been in many choirs since 5 years old and have had 2 vocal teachers in the last three years but you must be really advanced.
I always get really nervous singing on my own or without teacher guidance. You seem very confident.

@magicmagiamahou and @LacrimosaRaven You're right, I'm incredibly lucky to have been able to get vocal training, though due to the style, most things I try to sing end up sounding classical, regardless of their original genre... Which sometimes leads to interesting discoveries (imagine the song "consolation" with an operatic soprano on melody and full choir on harmony. Maybe a full orchestra, but keep the electric guitar. That is a dream of mine). Anyway, I hope my voice will live up to my confidence in it...

I'm looking at a few different songs right now, @george1234 suggested Silent Moon, but I hadn't actually heard that song before today. I'm considering "Mizu no Akashi," "Sprinter: acoustic version" (the one on the 5th anniversary live compilation) and "Himitsu" along with the songs I suggested above.
Is there some time by which I ought to declare a choice?

@Puddle Boots It depends how long it will take to make a cover. For me I'll have to record my parts before I actually record it because I have the memory of a goldfish and let learn those parts properly and then there's the process before that of actually working out some parts since I'm singing the instrumental of sis puella magica as well.

I'm really excited to hear everyone's vocal covers. I usually judge someone's voice subconsciously by their profile picture, and is usually very surprised by the results!

Alright, here's the plan so far, so george1234 can write it down: I am going to attempt a transcription of "Sprinter: acoustic version", and should that fail, I'll go with either a voice and recorder arrangement of "Himitsu" or a more conventional rendition of "storia"

That reminds me, my back-up plan for Aria is I Swear.

Backup plans are always a good idea

Ok, record almost everything from tv-size magia. I need someone for chorus in the beginning and in the end of song (ieieieieie... - you know, this part). But I'm satisfied. I'm not so professional and great as Hikaru-sama but I think it's nice.

Is it okay if I add two more songs on top of "musundehiraku"?

1. Musundehiraku (piano/vocal)
2. kimiga hikarini kaeteyuku (piano/vocal)
3. Maybe tomorrow

I would love if two or three people joined me for "maybe tomorrow"!

Um... I am not that great on violin, so it would be too hard for me to learn the other songs... sorry. Was there violin in I swear? I haven't listened to it in awhile. Yes, I can give out Mahiru, it is for first violin. I wish I was still with my teacher. *sigh* I am trying to play sapphire as much as I can.
