Yeah, the whole ost from the first season echoes fz. Barring the lighter pieces ofc.
 
After this I would love a BD/audio CD release of a soundtrack special, or even of vol#13, (since we didnt got for 12) which im sure will have some from Bokumachi too. I love the live versions of both Tonkey and she has to overcome. Even not important tracks like "daily life" sound much better live - and we already know that from the instrumentals of the Best of YK live audio CD.
 
If this is a taste of LIVE#13 feat. SAO... Ouch. This will be one boring live.

PS. Poor Wakana.

well for me swordland and first town werent rehearsel properly (something was wrong with everyone on these)
emergency and aerial fight were indeed sorta boring
Tonkey and she has to overcome were amazing
luminous was normal
daily life was improved compared to OST

the concept was 2 tracks from each ost, 4 instrumentals and 4 vocals.

what's up with Wakana ?
 
^ ah, I though it was something wrong with her singing again XD

Well I guess its spacecraft policy to show off the other girls more on FJ videos since Wakana and Keiko are shown all the time on Kalafina anyway, to differentiate the two groups on the fans eyes.
 
Well I guess that will happen even more at vol. #13 without Keiko there. I actually wonder how/if that will effect Wakana's singing, Keiko's always been there for Kalafina and FJ lives, right? I mean, it's not as if there aren't songs with Wakana that don't feature Keiko, but there's still that absence there and they're obviously close friends.
 
^ I dont know what impact this is going to have but in this video i could barely hear Keiko, I guess Remi Kaori and Yuriko provide enough mid to low range vocal to cover for her on the tracks chosen to be performed on vol #13 ? Only Kajiura knows. Also this is not first time that an FJ member is missing from a performance, before they become one group, in an event Wakana replaced Kaori on the Hanamori no Oka and epithalamion (god when will they release these soundtracks ? ) event though that performance turned out terrible https://canta-per-me.net/live-events/2008-HnKwedding/
 
I'm not familiar with SAO, as I never really got into the show, but I wanted to watch the video anyway for at least the vocals. I just finished and my favorite track was actually Tonky (LIVE ver).
 
Keiko won't be at live#13? lol. Dayum.

While moon and shadow isn't really fresh to Kajiura, it is quite enjoyable. Cold and wild is OK as well. Don't care for the rest for the time being, though
 
Yes she wasnt included in the flyer distributed,its really weird. I twitted Kajiura (if it was typo or real) but no reply so far.
 
Well, I tries to download the CDs from hikarinoakariost but it doesn't include the DVD, which I'm only interest for the moment, any clue of where I can find the video???
 
@grunty imagine having the swordland theme in moon and shadow after 1:05. it could have easily drifted into the main theme after that note..

@KP-X I actually enjoyed moon and shadow too. It's still quite generic but there is a tint of freshness.

at one point Keiko Remi and Yuriko were singing in she has overcome her fear... (for a few secs)

swordland and the first town were a joke.

Tonky Live is great :) but I think not so much the composition but Rie's skill stands out. as usual

offtopic: 2 trailers for the 4th (?) SAO game are out Holy cow these are some crazy graphics for something like sao,
looks like they have improved the music too. The battle system is lacking since he just sits there are attacks without any avoiding. Weird how they will release it first on US/EU o_O

I'm guessing not that much. Yes, they're close friends, but they're also professionals. If they can't sing well without having another member present, then they haven't got a single shot at having a solo career. Like I said, they're professionals, so more likely than not, Keiko's absence will affect ticket sales more than Wakana's singing.
 
^ I agree. Speaking of ticket sales, the venue on that live (as I saw from the video's audience shots) was totally filled with people, even though it was tickets that you had to have bought BD/DVD to be able to buy one.

Anyway I suggest that instead of wining about sao getting a featuring in YK live, think of it as the start of dedicated live for other series too. History has proven that Yuki tries something (eg. live flute / split between japanese seal - ost special - japanese / live strings / live percussion etc) and if its successful she continues it later (dont forget that YK vol 1 was an experiments itself) :) Lets see how this will turn out.
