From what I gather that's what they meant in the original announcement. Mind you, the listing could be wrong since they don't have all the details yet...

PS. I guess you can now remove "unreleased" comments from that event page. :)

Having recently finished the first arc of SAO and starting on the second, I can remember... literally nothing worthwhile in the first arc. There was a couple of nice pieces in the second arc so far but that's it.
 
I wouldn't really say it's that late. It's still almost 2 months away, after all.

that entire tracklist was already known anyway. also I bet they released all info quickly to gauge how many copies to print based off preorders

Old durations for comparison from VGMDB

ost 1 62:24 Ost 2 51:10 Ost 3 69:30 ost 4 44:12

so CD 1 = + 11 mins
CD2: no change unless they replaced "sorrowfully" with a new one
CD 3: +5 mins
CD 4: + 17 mins!!

This is weird, I remember the most new musics being in the GGO arc, but on the other hand last ost had the most unused space in disc.

@SAO OST2/Disc2: remember ost2 was at the wrong speed, so the "proper" version would be a bit shorter. Of course that's assuming the two releases correlate - I mean they could just put as much as they could on the first disc and then the rest on disc2 (with SAO2 being discs3-4 in a similar fasion).
 
Lets hope they have fixed the issues on disc 2 (lower pitch & sorrowfully track dublicate - was same as "at our parting from ost 1 -
 
The tracklist. SAO got reshuffled (no sorrowfully), on SAO2 the breakdown is the same, just with new tracks in between. The tracks from OST2 should be in the correct pitch going by the tracklengths.

Yeeeeeess! Moon and shadow! Thank you for these. I will be looking forward to hearing the pitch differences too. I really hope I get it for Christmas now. (I know it comes out after, I told my mom she could still preorder it for me.) :sohappy:
