Sword Art Online Movie "Ordinal Scale" (YK on music)

lol :XD: I didn't even realize there's a track named "bgm no.1" kajiura oh kajiura

Considering there's no "No. 2" the title may have something to do with stuff in the movie... Maybe...

considering it's another game world (? - idk what's the story about this time) maybe it's the first BGM played on the game the characters played? but then again there's welcome to ordinal scale and logging in tracks...

She's usually not making standalone music anymore so I can't say I've been paying much attention to titles but the arranges tend to be consistently numbered with #hashes so this "No. 1" just seems part of the title. I don't find this as strange/interesting as Taku Iwasaki having "H.W.Complex #1-2" on CONTROL OST and "H.W.Complex #3-5" on JORMUNGAND OST. ;)

when she does that (series of arrangement) she usually use # to indicate (number) and then the number itself example Yuna #2,3,4 from this OST and not xxx No.x (another example would be from these tracks https://canta-per-me.net/discography/madoka-movies-1-2-ost/) so I think bgm no.1 is just the 1st bgm on the game and she just didn't have any idea to name it.

lmao i didn't read your edit on post #86 and completely missed your post before that one (you can see your post #85 and my #84 is just 5 minutes apart - i intend to reply to george) so I'm sorry @grunty kun.

gwhahhah it's incredible! "he is here" made me laugh so much.

also 50 tracks = short snippets of unnecessary strings-based drama with meaningless cues. (+sfx)

lol I also laughed at she has a luminous sword... I mean, sorry Yuki, I know it's one of the most liked songs of the series, but still. We got Light Your Sword as well, which is the same melody. Maybe there will be a new twist? But I don't know what... I am looking forward to it, but probably won't buy it for awhile. The background music titles kind of made me laugh too. I know we had M1 and stuff for KnK, still. Anyways, hoping for some new awesome tracks!

^Lol (Flashes back to the story/dream? (i forget which it was, but I guess it was both) that someone posted about Yuki being the mob boss of all of them. Wow... lol)

I am excited as well. I am looking forward to this more and more now. It will be interesting since we haven't gotten much aside from Erased's theme and the Chinese woman for vocals not of Kala/FJ/others.

I'm also excited for this, it'll be interesting to see what kinds of songs she comes up with it.

of course watch her have the most stereotypical shounen theme for Kirito cause he's a stereotypical protagonist

^ well the Kirito theme according to previous Kajiura interviews, was "swordland" itself, but it was so popular that ended up the serie's theme instead.

That's kind of exciting. I may not like sao's soundtrack, but I'm always happy to see Kajiura work with vocalists outside of her posse.

the songs might turn up better than the shit songs Kajiura written for Kalafina these past 3 years...

Fion sounds like Wakana ? :confu:

Here is a 12- minutes sample of the movie :

(Thanks to anoth from shoutbox)

Wtf that character song at the end is copy paste from "to the beginning" (come on kajiura dont be so lazy :( )

Add that to the copy paste of shizuka na yoru ni that happened with the other chacter song, and we get 2 lazy songs already
