I like the second to last & the first non-anime ones, they give us a closer look at their outfits for the single :dote:

Rest are meh imo

Alright, I am so into these postcards. Except for the last one, these Hikaru poses certainly outshine the album cover options. I don't know if this thought is shared by anyone else, but I am so over Keiko being 99% in the middle of a Kalafina picture, interview, and performance, and so the inclusion of variety in the postcards was nice. However from a Japanese pop mindset I completely understand why she's in the middle so much. Surprisingly to me, I'm not a fan of the outfits but can see why they could work. I hope the album cover outfits are also featured and/or the outfits they use for live performances because they seem more elegant and accentuate the alleged Japanese themes/styling within the full song.

Edit: Scratch that, they are the outfits and I was fooled by the red filter all this time. I also thought they would all be long, modified kimonos and look completely different from these images (because "Japanese style"). I'm not a fan of what Keiko was given -- I like the "kimono top" she has but the bottom should have been long. Also Wakana's dress should have hit the floor, only because the hanging fabric piece being longer than her dress length bothers me (but I love her one asymmetrical giant kimono sleeve). I also thought Hikaru was going to be in like, patterned hakama or something and I just can't dig that pleated dress. But it's too late, of course, and this was just my opinion.

That's the problem of almost every Kaladresses (especially Wakana's) since 2015. Urgh whomever thought 7/8 length dresses like these are alright have to get their mind checked.

Their corseted dresses were rarely wrong but I understand the need for evolution in image.

Also I ask myself this for almost every new single, but I still wholeheartedly wonder what would change in this song had Maya been allowed to stay. What would her leads have sounded like, or would she have stayed the "Yuriko Kaida" of the four, etc..

Yeah...

Basically it's PH x Distance x L.O.R.D Theme Song. :XD: Oh I like the intro+Keiko+Heavy Drums though hehe...
I'll be camping for B-sides and Pripri then :)

Okay. Thoughts.

First: when Wakana said subtle Japanese style, she meant subtle, which I think we went overboard in expecting, level-wise. The establishment of the Japanese flute is set in the start of the theme and is kept in the back of the song.
Secondly: I enjoy the start of the verse, where Hikaru gets the opportunity to sing under Keiko -- I personally like these moments because they are rare for the number of songs they have and so it's an interesting sound to me.
Thirdly: I, for a lack of better word, "get" the chorus now. I think the mood progression to the chorus reminds me of Believe but with a completely different intention. (Reminder: unlike most of you, I consider Believe to have smooth, "understandable" progression.)
Lastly, I do kinda enjoy it, wish the percussion was different because it sounds too . . . familiar. I also see the influence of Distance, which I never noticed until a few minutes ago, but I enjoy the sound of the verse which differs in my view from Distance and PH.

Hopefully in the full song, the bridge will take us back to Japan and we'll get a little koto or shamisen.

Still sounds like FictionJunction, but since FictionJunction is seemingly dead I'm on board with this.

Still kind of excited for it actually, which is promising since other than Marchen I haven't been excited for a Kala a-side song since KnGnN.

PS. Into the World doesn't count as we had that in full before release.
