I wasn't fanning any flames, I clearly stated I wasn't taking sides. I was just pointing it out. Don't get all Mr. Monologue on me just because I don't like to see name calling.

I will say though, that you're very good at removing the parts of the message that provide the context to make others look like the bad guy. Bravo.

Yes, George Thanks alot! I didn't know this whole thing was going to turn into a big deal. I just tried. TRIED. To help out so everyone can enjoy good music in here, but I guess some people need evidence to see if you're really helping out! (? Are we in a crime scene or what?) It is pretty dumb. I rather not get involve in this mess because for starters, The only reason I joined was because I wanted to help out with the lyrics like the rest of you. But it seems to be getting out of control just because of this "Evidence".

Let the transcription (transliteration) be credited to someone else; don't credit me for it.

In my mind, it's near impossible to credit the romaji to anyone, because most people armed with a dictionary and experience can produce romanized lyrics. The only difference between people's versions would simply be word spacing, line spacing, and usage of different romaji styles (I personally use a modified version of Hepburn). You can be completely unable to understand a word of Japanese but still produce an accurate transliteration. I can copy and paste someone else's romanized lyrics and edit it into my style, and who'd be able to say I copied or actually typed it up on my own? It's impossible to tell, unless I preserve some spelling error from the original version.
Now, making a transcription from listening to a song, that's pretty much making educated guesses.

Translation, on the other hand, I'd be hard-pressed to find two people working independently producing the exact same translation with the exact same terminology and interpretation. So it's quite easy to tell different people's works apart.

Anyone can do the equivalent of optical character recognition followed by romaji.org. Translation deserves credit; anything else is unfinished business.

And anyone can translate Japanese text into any language using a TRANSLATOR and THEN correct any grammar mistakes and such. Have you seen one lately? They're all over the INTERWEBS.
