THE FOOD BOOK (better title pending)

:XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD:

Oh well! This should still be fun, anyway!

Why can't we call it the "KERA! magazine"? :psst:

/shot to death

Aaaaaaaaaaaanyway,

If Kera would be so kind of help us write the leading blurb/intro on our behalf, that would be great. Maybe with some input from george, tsuba and myself to describe the purpose of the project.

After all, we don't want our Yuki-sama to be confused, do we? :psst:

I should be able to take care of coming up with some recipes if you guys could give me a theme/locale to work on (i.e. UK or Singapore food? or just simply freestyle?).

Also, for some members who thinks their pictures/dishes need a rework in terms of the presentation or technicality (i.e. those that absolutely can't be saved with photoshop/GIMP), I could use the recipes to recreate the dish and take a snap of it for the project.

Obviously, I can't do it for all members as I don't want to overstock my fridge with exotic ingredients I'll only use once and I also don't have an unlimited supply of cash to buy them! So, please don't use this as an excuse to either not submit pictures or to take really unusable ones! :XD:

Good luck to us all and let's have fun with this project! :sparkleguy:

so are we going to choose recipes that are traditional to our countries/areas?
The US doesn't really have "traditional foods" unless you count hamburgers lol :ohoho:
Fried green tomatoes are a southern thing I guess...
I'll keep thinking of others :XD:

@aki: I was thinking of recipes that we have at home, that either we make or our family makes. One of mine would be pepper steak. Since I am part German but we never really have any German type food. Just a thought.

Rather than just a book of recipes, it will be more of a magazine-style food guide for yuki when she visits our countries.

For all we know, that might actually tempt her to consider visiting them! :ohoho: :sohappy:
Is it planned to be one food per country or more? :ayashii:

Kerahna's top 10 ice cream flavors list XD

I'm curious to read it myself. :stars: :XD:

I'm not sure about using song titles, though... Maybe a plain "TASTY BOOK" or something like that would be best?

Same question as Nick Hunter about the number of food.
Moreover, what kind of recipies should we put inside ? Only national recipies ? Or our favorite ones ?
Each country has national recipies but each region has its own speciality too.

For the title of the book, in the continuity of the Nick Hunter's proposal why not this one ? :
"Food Book - a tasty journey around the world"

^maybe a trademark food of a country like this <country> is known for <food>...but trademark foods are likely to be associated with the street foods I guess... which, IMHO, i would really love to try whenever I visit a new place.

well, our country's national recipe doesn't require much instructions since itz just a roast pig so it would be a little...

Like I said before, most of trademark foods in my country are nothing too imaginative either. But simplicity also raises the chances that Yuki might be able to cook it herself, which she'd probably want to try upon reading some of the articles.

"Food Book - a tasty journey around the world"

I like it. :ayashii:

"Silver Dishes for the Tasy Flavors of the days gone by" :ohoho: I'm kidding, Food Book sounds great

lets see.... "Food la fina" :XD:

LOL :XD: So, what about FeedingJunction? Kidding :XD: :imdead: But don't think I'll be able to contribute...I don't think I have any recipes I could share - guess my family just eats simple things :XD:

@Aero: But since we're going for an food guide, it probably needn't be limited to what you eat anymore - any characteristic and compelling part of your national cuisine should do.
Come to think of it, this idea blends a scrapbook with a world map/fanlisting, while also being a practical present. And a "contributable" one, too... provided such a word even exists. :XD: :ayashii:

FeedingJunction... Sounds rather creepy. :white: :XD:
