^I would like Kajiura to work on better projects that Final Fantasy (at least the way it is nowadays).

Right now, I just wish she would compose anything for Maaya. Don't care if it's impossible.

^i understand your point.coz Yuki uses electric piano on lives, but i watched a couple of videos where Yuki plays a junior grand piano to warm up before a recording session.so it made me more excited and hope for a live performance with an orchestra

Oh any additional instruments to the current band are more than welcome. I think she used a grand piano on Dream port concert/DVD, as well as some PVs.

yeah.that's exactly it.i would really love to see her do it again

-- Maaya has been a long time Yoko Kanno vocalist right?or am i wrong? well anyway Maaya sang great songs from Yoko so i hope she gets the chance to work with Yuki Kajiura too.

Well, having her join an ORIGINAL quality JRPG project would be even better. :shy:

They have been working separately for a while now (except one collaboration in Macross Frontier), AFAIK.
I don't find Maaya/Yuki collab impossible. :tea: The matter is for Yuki to come up with a song for which she will need Maaya's voice exactly. I think they'll get along just fine. :dote: /*remembers how excited Maaya was when she heard Oblivious. :plot:

Maaya has worked separately from Kanno since her fifth album, Yuunagi Loop. Since then, almost all of her songs have being composed by many different composers, with a few songs still composed by Kanno. Not only that, but I remember reading somewhere that she (or her producers, don't really know) look for other composers in order to give hear more variety in her style. Hence, she could very well make a collaboration with Kajiura, as long as both of them want (I believe).

i love Maaya in The Vision of Escaflowne
so a Maaya-Yuki collaboration is another thing i'm looking forward to and hoping for

I wish Kajiurasensei to compose more music for the FictionJunction and More songs like Hoshikuzu and a long one collaboration like Dreamport.

and I wish that her work sales well and more people love their music!

Sensei~ :sohappy:

+1 string quartet too. Her song deserves more string emphasis :D

But I can't portrait Yuki stand on the podium and conduct an orchestra...
i wanna see her on the stage with an orchestra

I didn't mind her lives are backed by an orchestra (In fact I'd love to see) Its just after seeing her on stage with her electric piano (and her band members), I don't really see her conducting a classical group of musicians.
I found it less difficult when I saw Yoko Kanno conducting, maybe she's more with a grand piano, rather than Yuki's electric piano...I dunno, just my impressions

I read this and immediately thought of Within Temptation's "Black Symphony" DVD... or Metallica's S&M album. In both cases, the bands teamed up with a preexisting orchestra and conducting was done by another person... so Yuki wouldn't need to necessary conduct the orchestra (or even arrange the music - for the S&M concert, the conductor arranged all of the orchestral parts himself).

... mmm, that sounds so delicious in my mind. Yuki + live orchestra playing stuff like "Nowhere"...

^ :ayashii: :waii: :dote: French horns on the chorus :shy:

But I think Kajiura-sensei has to arrange the music, at least partly. She had some assistance in the RHH OST 1, so I suppose she could get someone to help her if she needs it. But either way, I'd prefer hearing Kajiura-sensei's version, since it's her compositions.

On that note, how about an opera? :ohoho:

Ooooh i didn't know that. Who helped her?

Um...Ishikawa somebody-or-other (can't read the first name aside from the second kanji which is 'light') did 'score support', according to the musicians page of the booklet. I don't know what that means, but I'm assuming that he/she helped her with scoring the large orchestral parts of the OST... :confu:

:knife: Can I wish a Kajiurago version of Chrono Cross' Opening, Time's Scar/Scars of Time?

And a Kalafina Cover of Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis? Preeeetty please? :knife:

We can wish for a million things she does with her music. Although most of these seem to require her to first move up the ladder in terms of recording quality, though (not that it's bad now, but it can be a lot better).

^ Really? Well...if I compare her recording quality to mine, it's miles better. What aspect of it do you mean exactly? All I can think of is stereo guitar solos instead of mono :confu:
