Well that's disappointing.
I have the feeling that they had to choose another composer because she's doing SAO.

^I also like fate zero's soundtrack. The music might not have been Kajiura's best but it bought incredible atmosphere to the show. That being said, I'm glad she's not working on this project. I'm really tired of action kajiura.

She might still do the movie(s) since that's certainly at least a year away, lol.

fate/zero was hit or miss for me. there were really pieces i enjoyed but the rest felt a bit forced.

i can't tell whether I would want Yuki to do the music for fate series or SAO. though so far, hanako to anne saves me from making a decision.

I guess that's possible. Although I imagine they would prefer to be consistent with the music.

Her music for a slice of life anime could be interesting.

All the routes are completely seperate stories so it depends how you look at it. I'm not familiar with the VN but most people seem to say Heaven's Feel is the best route to follow Fate/Zero (Re: Sakura) so consistency in that aspect would be keeping Kajiura. :P

I agree, that's what I also said at the comments of the newspost :) and I feel that its much better for her to work on a never before animated chapter than something that was previously done again, since people would be continiously comparing her musics to the ones of Kenji Kawaii used in Deen's adaption XD

I've read about that too. That is why most people thought the anime would cover Heaven's Feel.
I remember reading that the upcoming series was suppose to have an original scenario that drew parts from each of he routes. I wonder why they changed their plans?

Heaven's Feel is the darkest of the VN's routes (although it was five or so years ago when I read them) but it's very, very good indeed. It gives Sakura plenty of screen time, but I'm not surprised that it's a feature film because there are some...mature themes that probably wouldn't be able to be portrayed properly on TV
Crest worms for instance. Nuff said!
:omg:

I think a Kajiura soundtrack would work better with that actually - Kawai could still be a wise choice though. As for the new TV show, I'm coming round to the idea of a new person doing the music for that. A fresh bit of input for a rebooted franchise, maybe? Or perhaps YK was too busy with other projects and they had to find someone else! Either way, I'm looking forward to hearing it.

As for the older Fate adaptations...speaking as someone who found even Tsukihime watchable (no, really! :hide:) they were fairly average. Actually, they suffered the same problems that Tsukihime did: too much stuff crammed into too few episodes. The TV series tried to pick bits from all three routes instead of sticking to just one and the UVW movie felt rushed as well. Don't bother with that one if you're not familiar with the franchise already. Fate/Zero was very well handled, so IMO Studio Deen had two opportunities to do it right and failed. Ufotable on the other hand went in and made a good job of Zero, so I'm waaay more comfortable with them taking Fate from here.

That composer was also involved with another Type Moon game, Mahotsukai no Yoru
EDIT: I kinda like the BGMS of Mahotsukai performed on the Type Moon 10th Anni BD

Well I was a tad sad when I didn't see Yuki ' s name, but damn I loved Mahoutsukais soundtrack so I expect some great stuff! Happy that UBW and HF have been confirmed!

Yes for Fate/Zero except the last 2 episodes ( :desksweat: )

Still glad she's involved somehow, with Kalafina. And who knows, she could write songs for it too, though Gundam Seed's instrumentals were adaptations of See-Saw's songs, still, the melody was Yuki's.

(And I watched Tsuikihime too, I don't remember much but I do about the cramming in too much. I should watch it again.)

This comment killed me:
It already sounds way better than Kalafina's funeral marches.

Nope, it doesn't.
