Not Kajiura. Composer is 深澤 秀行 Fukasawa Hideyuki
Bit of an unknown to me since I don't play fighting games.

Well, now we know why they took so long to announce the bloody composer. It's not any one of options the fans wanted. LOL

UBW Tohsaka Rin route. 2 split cours.
And here's the screen with Kalafina doing the ED.

Surprisingly, the OP is not by an artist from SME.

That composer was also involved with another Type Moon game, Mahotsukai no Yoru
EDIT: I kinda like the BGMS of Mahotsukai performed on the Type Moon 10th Anni BD
At least Kalafina's still there :tea:

The label, Ariola Japan, is under Sony Music though. So taking advantage of a popular series to introduce new singers again, eh?

Hmm. Then I suppose Type-Moon fans will love him, since as I recall, the music for that was pretty well received.

I'm giving this a skip since I can't for the life of me stand shitrou and watching Rin fall for that piece of shit is just going to make it worse.

I suppose Heavenly Blue and Lacrimosa are proof that we can get Kala theme tunes without YK BGM, but I'm still hopeful. The trend seems to be Kawai does DEEN Type Moon stuff and Kajiura does Ufotable Type Moon stuff. Not that I would mind if she wasn't involved this time - I actually thought Kawai's OSTs to the first F/SN TV show and the UBW movie are pretty good...actually, Toshiyuki Oomori's OST to the Tsukihime TV adaptation was enjoyable from what I remember. Whatever problems those shows had, the soundtracks weren't one of them!

Type Moon are notorious for keeping fans waiting, aren't they? The Tsukihime remake is apparently in progress, but it was put on the back burner while Nasu and Takeuchi got Mahoyo released (which was itself delayed numerous times). I daresay the Tsukihime remake is next on their 'to do' list now that's done, but when they get around to it I've no idea. Girl's Work is apparently going to be a TV anime rather than a VN but I've heard very little else about it.

Nasu is an absolute genius, but he's a god-tier procrastinator. I remember joking on Twitter a while back that we'll see Kevin Shields release a new My Bloody Valentine album before Type Moon got Mahoyo finished. I turned out to be wrong, but I was only a few months off the mark! :wet:

EDIT: how long did it take me to type out this reply the first time around?! Urgh. I'm not familiar with Fukasawa either, although I loved Flowers of Evil. Weirdly though, the music was one thing that didn't stand out for me...apart from that whacked-out ED theme. It's going to be a refreshing change for long-standing Fate fans I suppose.

Andddddd Heaven's Feel movie adaptation by Ufotable. Not much info yet.

UBW PV.

Flowers of Evil had a decent OST from what I remember. Not very memorable, but it was okay.

The director's only other work is... KnK6. Urgh. That's seriously not promising, 6 and the Snow Falling short are the only KnK parts I don't like.

UBW is a really weird choice for what to adapt. I guess it's an affirmation of Kiri's ideals, which is arguably (through Shirou) the driving force of the entire series, but it doesn't have much closure for Saber or Sakura. Maybe they'll animate the weird extra material about Waver and Rin rolling into Fuyuki ten years later and kicking Zouken's ass while disassembling the Grail.

wait what the hell Heaven's Feel movie

Well the trailers oftenly dont have good music, but the ost im refering to is very good, so I think he can do just as well with FSN

Except Fate has nothing to do with Bakumatsu era so it really doesn't mean much. Look, I'm not saying the anime OST will be bad - I just didn't care for this trailer at all. Also, there were some tracks on the Mahoyo OST that I liked.

OH, I guess I should note I have actually zero interest in this franchise, lol, so it doesn't really matter what I think. I didn't like the DEEN anime (outside the OST which was fantastic, stopped on the dragon episode), UBW movie or Fate/zero (I'm mad at myself I finished it). I'll probably just watch a random episode when people say it had a good fight.

Hmm, interesting. Hopefully we'll get a new song that isn't Heavenly Blue quality :ayashii:. I'm still not liking it.

Interesting composer choice actually. I remember the MvC3 OST being pretty fun and very varied and I can see some of that stuff working in the Nasuverse so I reckon it could work.

I haven't seen Fate/zero yet *hides*

The DEEN series and the UBW movie were garbage though. What I've read of the VN is a lot better. The thing is the VN is gargantuan so adapting in such limited time will have some issues I reckon, even with two-cour and without DEENs messy input.

Heaven's Feel I've heard so much about but haven't read, but a movie seems a bad idea, especially after how UBW turned out.

^ but they said movie and not movies :3
(but its usual for japanese since they say "character" instead of "characters" in all anime menus I have seen)

lol... george...
October 4 @ 24h (midnight)

I wouldn't really trust their engrish as any source of definitive information.

The wording of the HF announcement (劇場アニメ化決定) is pretty much exactly the same as the one on the earliest version of KNK website (映画化決定).

Persona 3 also had "PERSONA3 the Movie Coming Soon" in english on their site and it's already at 2 movies. (Not following it so I'm not sure if there's going to be more.)

It's all vague so we just have to wait and see what they mean.

seasonreaper: I actually thought the same thing when I read the news post. I thought Kajiura, I love you and all, but please don't have a similar title even to heavenly blue, not that I hate the song, but it's not one of my favorites. Though, Kala's endings do seem better than their openings, so I will be hopeful. (Though I liked to the beginning a lot, and still do.) You should watch Fate/Zero, I for one, liked it and have the two box sets mainly for the soundtrack, but they were expensive. (Had to save up... yikes.) It is a good show and the music was good too.

But I am hopeful, since it is an ending rather than an opening. Hope it is good! (Like I have said before, I love manten, but it really did not work for an ending for me.)
