Kalafina invited @ Chicago Anime Central convention (ACen)

^ but if the concert is being recorded, there will be a sound recording off the mixing desk, not necessarily from the cameras.
 
I doubt there will be any extended recording of the concert, unfortunately. It will probably be similar to the content they have included with the SE of Consolation and After Eden albums of the other trips they have made in recent years. Any footage of the concert will be the one camera guy that was documenting the trip for Kalafina who was recording near the front. There were two other cameras set up on the balcony, but they were for the two screens in the theatre.

but its good to hear you all had fun in way only live performances can let you and that it was a really good one (venue, staff, sound, etc.) :nosebleed:

I doubt the concert will be released. I really want it to be, but they'll probably release one of the longer Japan lives (releasing both would be a dream come true, but if they only release one DVD/BD per album, I'm happy having it be a Japan live). Plus, no Konno-san. :cry: They really, really need to bring him along for their next overseas trip.

Ah, so you were the grasshopper taco person! :ohoho: That was totally awesome, btw. And Yuu Asakawa's reaction... lol

Lots of people around me, both before and after the concert, seemed to be more casual fans. After the concert, the only comments I heard were of sheer, phenomenal praise. And many people bought CD/DVDs during the autograph line. I think many people were converted that day.

I like those 5th anniversary dresses with the black bottoms more...they now look more classic rather than the sort of space/fairy combined feeling I got with the white skirts :XD:
Although it makes me wish even more that the girls would expand their horizons...and maybe, oh I don't know, journey across the ocean to Australia? Or go on a world tour :stars:

God, that interviewer didnt even gone to read the Kalafina wikipedia article before he interviews them, he's like a total noob :blood:
 
^ Yeah, I agree. If you are going to interview a personality, then at least make a quite decent research on that person.

For instance, the interviewer should have visited our site to learn more on Kalafina as well, so that he will be able to ask more questions that are quirky and interesting such as "Wakana, why are your favorite animals are sharks/megalodons?" :XD:
 
Agreed that the interview wasn't... ideal. That being said, I think it came across as more awkward than ignorant. From what I remember of some of his other reviews/forum posts, the interviewer does seem to be a fan of some of Yuki's soundtracks. Maybe, it would've been better to ask the last question like, "Wakana and Keiko, I know you two have performed solo songs for Yuki Kajiura on soundtracks, for instance. How is that different from recording and performing as Kalafina?"

Most of the other questions seem to be basic or answered in the past. I did like knowing that they're getting more involved with staging the live performances, so the interview wasn't totally irrelevant.

That was almost a word for word transcription of all the MC's during the show. Must have recorded audio to get it that accurate.
 
Keiko did mentioned popcorn, but she specifically said "Garrett Popcorn...Garretto Popcorn!"

When I started I remembered that I suck at things like blogs, essays and long writing/typing projects..

Something to keep in mind with the interviews is that we are not the target audience, but rather, the more casual anime fan that is not very familiar with the artist's work. True, the press people themselves may not be familiar with they artist, so they are going to keep the questions simple.

We don't need PR interviews nor footage to buy their next single or album ;)

The part where Kalafina is looking for the Mami cosplayer was adorable. Too bad there were no Mami cosplayers at the concert.

There was a very good Mami cosplayer on Friday, carrying a Charlotte plush. Should have shown Wakana a photo when I had the chance =/
