I know, that sucks. I also looked on the site, but could not find them.

Also they should record each concert and at least put them on cds to sell to the people who went, I was just listening to Ongaku and manten again and I think I like the lives more. I would buy the cds, even if the sound was a little messed up. :dote:
I doubt that SME (or any other labels in these days) would allow doing that..lol. Thanks for everyone's reports, pics&links...^ ^. Seems like all of you&Kalafina had a great time at Chicago..:D.

^Very interesting, thanks for posting. I liked Hikaru's answer for the audition one. :dote:

wow, thank you for the link!

(i kinda laughed too much when they asked about how kalafina made the PVs... "whimsical" indeed :ohoho: )

@HimeWakana Thanks so much for the link!! such a nice report..!!

Mostly in Asia, a lot of people sing along in the concert.
Thanks Keiko...so I'm not the odd one... :ohoho:

The concert review talked a lot about their gestures when they performed... I rarely noticed this kind of things when I wrote the report..lol.

...the ladies of Kalafina used their hands and upper bodies to convey feelings to the audience.

I don't know why but I just find it hilarious when they state it that way... :XD:

“Kagayaku Sorano Shijimaniwa”.
Well known from the anime series Black Butler, this began with Hikaru looking soulfully towards the sky, while the other two sang.

Magia”....Fierce and full of energy, their arms were used beautifully for expressions from the get go in this particular piece.

I can just imagine this... :ohoho:

Mirai”...Hikaru swayed, dancing less but making a statement with her deep, emotional looks staring upwards.

Hikallluuuu how can you be angsty still in Mirai?? :omg:

The concert resumed with “ARAI” as their next song

:XD: :XD:

Thanks for posting, Hime! What a nice and glowing review of Kalafina~ :shy:

Hey, just gonna point out something about the setlist here: http://canta-per-me.net/live-events/2013-acen-concert/ Just noticed it now.

Maybe I don't quite understand the meaning of "encore." Isn't it only when they go off stage and get clapped back on? At ACEN, they just had an MC after Hikari Furu where they told concertgoers the next song would be the last. Didn't go off stage or anything. Does that count as an encore? Or is it a mistake with the setlist description?

Hey, guys, I don't remember seeing this interview posted, but if it has, I'm sorry~ ^^

Hey thanks Cerise!
I saw it on youtube but I thought it was surely posted somewhere x)

Re: Kalafina invited @ Chicago Anime Central convention (ACe

Don't worry Wakana, I forgot to introduce myself to you too, haha. :shy:
I haven't seen this interview either, but knowing this took place the day I got to chat with them a little makes me all :dote:

Wooohoooos!!!!! I can hear obbligato live. :sohappy: THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!! :dote:

OH...MY...GOD.

They sound...perfect. Like actual pitch-perfect perfection without any of the usual pitch correction they do. Their vocals are outstanding, all three of them. :nosebleed:

Especially Wakana hitting Hanae-level notes. :shy:

I listened to the 4 new ones, and wow, they really have improved, especially Wakana, she was almost perfect in all 4 songs :dote: (Door, Signal, Obligato, Consolation) as I expected they have kept Yuriko in the signal bridge because it would be too difficult for W but she did great in the chorus of obligato, I think I havent heard her sing like that since seventh heaven DVD's ongaku. What really dissapointed me was the drumming, someone should so something about Sato's mania of hitting the cymbals all the time :uh..:

gonna listen to the rest :sohappy:

Wakana was really the star of the concert here. Besides the obvious fact that many of the songs were her in the lead, her singing is just perfection, at least when it comes to hitting notes. I still prefer her technique few years back, but at least she can hit those notes. Obbligato and Consolation was when Wakana was at her best, with her best being Obbligato. Her weakest was definitely Signal (she struggled a lot with those aahs), and Hikari Furu (that song has always been hard for Wakana) but the rest of the setlist she was solid.

Hikaru's microphone being soft is to blame for not being able to clearly hear her, but even then, she rocked, especially when it came to Magia and ARIA. Magia was clearly her best song of the concert, ARIA coming close, and Hikari no Senritsu not far behind with those falsettos. :shy: She was a little weak in Mirai, but that's forgivable.

Keiko...what can I say? Besides Ongaku, none of the songs had her on lead (at least she had decent solo times in Manten, Door, to the beginning and Hikari Furu). Door and Menten was where she was at her best. It's Keiko, of course she wouldn't really have any weak vocals.

Other than my little nitpicks, Kalafina sounded amazing. :nosebleed:

Best of the night: Consolation, Kagayaku, Red Moon, Door, Magia, Obbligato, Hikari no Senritsu, Manten.

I still feel Mirai is their weakest song to date purely because of the composition and to the beginning because it's so...anisong. At least their astounding vocals during live perfomances make up for it.

Now I can't say that about Alleluia. That was just...ugh.
