I was having an intense arguement with someone because he had downloaded the RED and it had overture . WEhat you said makes sense though. The source from Hikari no Akari for example has overture named so my friend had legitimate reason to believe so ( though I argued that the LisANI video did not have overture named on M01 Red) . Anywho cheers for confirming !

I really do like prelude too, but wish it was longer.
Also, look what came today:
I will do the scans later since too tired now and I am leaving in a little while anyways. The booklets are so beautiful and it is worth it just for that. Wish the mouse pads were different though, like one was the blue pic, but they are both red for some reason. Oh, and there are different pics in both the booklet in the cd and the thick booklet.

^Right, as I said in the post. I wish they had been different color mouse pads at least. Gah now I really want the box since I have almost no room on my Yuki shelf to put things. (Well, if I get this job I just got called about today, I will be able to get it.)

^If you look closely though they are smaller than the cd. The cd comes in a case and it is thick like the After Eden one. I like it when it's like that. heh

というかたがやたら多かったんですが
自由と責任と自分で稼いだお金！
特に学生時代のアルバイトは経験した方が良いですよね。
「バイト物語・夏」ということで
かき氷屋さん、うなぎ屋さん、
プールの監視員、スポーツのチケットもぎりと
夏らしいバイトのエピソードがいっぱい！
また、暑い夏の炎天下や肉体労働など
体力勝負のバイトエピソードは、
想像を超えるものがありました。
この夏も、たくさんのバイト物語、
生まれると思いますが、
熱中症に気を付けて頑張りましょう！
ゲストは、Ｋａｌａｆｉｎａのみなさん。
７月１６日２枚同時リリースされる初のベストアルバム
『ＴＨＥ ＢＥＳＴ』“Ｒｅｄ”“Ｂｌｕｅ”を持って
遊びに来てくれました。
先日出演して大反響だったパリの「ＪＡＰＡＮ ＥＸＰＯ」から
帰国したてということもあり、そのお土産話も。
会場に入りきれないほどのファンの方々が詰めかけたライブでは
人生初の「Ｋａｌａｆｉｎａコール」がライブ前から湧き起こり
感動したと話してくれました。
テーマのバイトについても教えて頂きましたが、
カフェ、ファミレス、ショップの店員さん、
ホテルなどで接客業をした時のエピソードは
３人とも優秀なスタッフ！！というのがわかりました。
Ｗａｋａｎａさんはカフェで「いつもの」という
お客様のオーダーに答えられるようにしていたそうですし、
Ｋｅｉｋｏさんはショップで店長さんに登りつめたそう！
その時期のおすすめメニューをお客様にやんわりそれとなく
勧めていたＨｉｋａｒｕさんは、今では、ライブで
グッズ販売のインフォメーション係！？
その勧め方が上手い！と褒められていました。
シングルなどおなじみのナンバーを網羅、
さらに意外な曲も選曲されている
Ｋａｌａｆｉｎａワールド全開のベストアルバム、
ぜひ、チェックしてくださいね！
それでは、また、午後１時にｗｉｔｈ ｙｏｕ！

High resolution digital version of RED and BLUE:

1. They have not specified what mastering technique was used for this (K2HD is JVC Music's technique, not SME's. You cannot, however, rule out Sony having a similar technique)
2. Mastering Studio: Sony Music Studios Tokyo, Engineer: Chinone Yuji
3. When you press play on the site for the samples, those are NOT high resolution. Those are AAC-LC 320kbps (ie. lossy) and are not indicative of the actual quality of the product. The site FAQ indicates that if you wanna try a high resolution song sample, they have a song on the site (some other artist/song) which you can download for free to see what a high resolution song is like. There is no sampling the Kalafina songs in high resolution.
4. Probably restricted to Japan. So you'll have to jump through hoops to get these.
I think Sony is a pretty big proponent of high resolution music (releasing high resolution music capable players, etc) so perhaps they did the album justice and kept a high resolution master source... starting 6 years ago.
Also, Blue and Red ranked 1 and 2, respectively, on the store charts on opening.
Off topic:
In view of this, it is possible that the sample streams for the SeeSaw and FictionJunction albums were not high resolution either, by virtue of the streaming players not supporting high resolution playback, and a high resolution song probably being obscenely large in file size. It's probably not very economical to be streaming all that...

Or.. it could actually be a true high resolution release. We really don't know.
Not sure why anyone would want this since it's really just a bunch of MV and live footage from past releases (barring alleluia which you can now get from RED anyway) that is overlayed with RED/BLUE advertising. The comment is only 2min+ too. But here it is, unedited and uncut. A direct stream grab of the nico live of day 1 for The Best, Red, in 700.8 whopping MBs. Since it is uncut, there's this 15 minutes of nothingness at the start. lol. I lost my editing tools when I upgraded my SSD so no editing from my side.
PS. Let me know how the mega filehost goes. Is it fast? Any issues? I managed to hit 3MB/s so I imagine it's pretty spectacular. OH. It seems free accounts have a bandwidth limit of 10 GB and 500MB is freed every 30 mins. So there's that...

TBH, I can't make out Maya's vocals either, but I put that down to the fact that she didn't sing on many songs, so we don't have much to go on as far as comparison material goes!
The mastering and such is probably being handled in the same way that the rest of their songs have been, at least on CD. I see no reason why they'd need to do anything to the individual tracks as far as remastering goes. As for a digital release, I wish I knew (I'm a bit of a nerd for this sort of thing, so I find it really interesting. Sorry!) Even iTunes has their own lossless format, but I avoid that like the plague because I don't like using iTunes.
The mixing of Kala songs doesn't sound unusually bad next to similar artists, so I don't think it's affected by the 'loudness war' any differently. There's a track on FJ's Elemental though (I can't remember which one off the top of my head) where the vocal distorts very badly, and clearly overloaded something somewhere along the line.
