Kalafina Best album

Maybe she was credited as vocal because she's credited in the sprinter/ARIA single as well?
I imagine that Maya was credited on Sprinter and Aria to cover the bases, as I still can't find Hikaru on fairytale or Lacrimosa's studio versions, but she is still a part of Kalafina for those singles (and appears on the B-sides, like Maya appearing only on Sprinter).
EDIT: I'm sorry, I forgot about the line Hikaru has in Lacrimosa and the high harmonising/etc. in fairytale.

On another topic, I was watch the final Nico Nico stream, and even there, Heavenly Blue simply does not flow. It really sounds more like the chorus samples they pieced together for the various "Best" commercials- disjointed parts of multiple songs- than a single song.

I'm pretty damn sure on fairytale Hikaru is doing all the high falsetto harmonizing. It's not Yuriko or Hanae. Can give a sort of clear sample if you can't hear it. She's also clearly in at least some of the kajiurago choruses.

Lacrimosa... Definitely kajiurago and bridge with Wakana.

And Hikaru did the harmonization for the Kajiurago in Lacrimosa as well, plus she actually sing the harmony for "takigi tonari itsuka, sono sora o yakitsukusou". Anyway grunty I love that Hikaru-dansu actually. It's kinda amazing how she can bend her body smoothly and stand up straight away in heels. :XD:

I guess this singers confusion is a sufficient idea for a new thread. I'll make one in a few minutes. Any other songs that need clearing up, lol?

their choreographer has never done a good job from what I've seen over the years. Whoever that person is, they need to be sent on the first train home and the girls told to just be themselves on-stage instead! :hide:

Exactly, that kyrie Octopus and manten bird snake dance is so weird XD glad that FJ lives dont have any of that unecessary stuff *SLAMS WOOD* XD

anywhlo getting back to the best album , kisaukid has uploaded a few photos from both blue and red.

THAT HIKARU×KEIKO shadow photo , poor Wakana Ill invite her to tea when they come over to the UK heh

Okaaayyy now I kinda want to buy the album just for the sake of the photos. The photos are all really pretty.

Attention, members of the Japanese anti-drug police, we may have some names to share with you. :XD::baka:(I need a smashing-the-door onion.)

The photos are really nice.

And so do I not need to do the credits page? George, it's probably because my scanner is with a printer, and not a stand alone scanner, but it does still get good scans when it's a normal piece of paper for some reason it does not when it's the booklets. When I do the red album one I will try and work with it a little more. (I think I know how to change the resolution on my printer so you do not need to find the website.)

That Alleluia live is, uh... bad. I really like that song, too. But the audio levels are borked (in particular all the vocals are like 25~50% louder than they should be), Wakana sounds sick, Keiko's voice breaks a couple times. Hikaru changed her delivery of 'chiisa no inochi wo', but it's still not really enunciated clearly and doesn't flow quite right.

Oblivious was not clearly on point but made it to move me again, as usual.
Storia was awful to listen. Alleluja wasn't that bad compared to the previous two. OMG, I'm a little shocked about this performance :swt: Wakana seems really sick, her voice is sometimes too sharp sometimes too weak and seems as she's straining a lot to sing. Keiko was ok except for some mistakes and Hikaru was maybe the best of the three. Kinda disappointed.

Gah, have not watched it yet, going to after dinner. @george1234, do you want me to scan the musicians part again, by itself? I can also crop it to just that part. I have not scanned the other book yet, sorry. Was busy today but I will try and get to them tonight after I make dinner.

Woah, what happened with that performance of Storia? They sound really tired and/or out of breath, especially Wakana. I don't usually pick up on small things during lives as I'm too busy enjoying it, but something was really obviously not right here.

Okay, the Red scans will have to wait until later tomorrow, sorry minna!

And just watched the Lisani concert. Wow, the Blu-ray makes it look like they are not even real on stage, they are so amazing looking!
misterioso: Thought it was solid. Wakana and Hikaru both sang a bit high at times, I believe, but other than that, really great. I think I will like hearing this live in the future, when I go again to see them.

Kimi no Gin: Really good again, almost perfect with the studio version, I thought. I think this would be difficult for me to sing if I were them, live, since it is a mix between a fast and slow song. There are the slow parts, and the more upbeat kind. But they did a really wonderful job with it. (The glowsticks in the background were a nice touch, wow there were a lot of people there!)

seventh heaven: Gaaaaah I loved it! I think Keiko might have been a little... aggressive (maybe not the right word) with some of the lyrics, as she is sometimes, but overall I think it was great. I hope they sing this next time when I see them too, since they sang a lot of KnK songs at ACen, but not this.

sprinter: I thought this was okay, at best. The beginning started out great, but then for some reason it fell apart, like most people said. I don't think it's the lack of Maya or anything, but maybe the way they sing it as a trio? They need to find the right click for it.

ongaku: I've said before when I watched this that I loved it. I know, they play it a lot, but it's still fun and fun to sing with. And wow those guitar and violin (especially) solos! Konno is just amazing. I do like this song still.

Alleluia: This one kind of failed again, but I thought it was better watching it on the big screen rather than on youtube. Maybe the sound quality is better? Keiko was kind of overpowering again on some lines, and I actually liked Hikaru's solo part, but I do like it on the studio version better. Thought it could have been better, but maybe since it is a newer song and they haven't played it much, this is why.

Thought it was okay, and I am glad I got the Blu-ray. :dote:Can't wait to see them again.

彼女たちの快進撃は、まだまだ止まりそうにない。

can anyone upload the videos that came with both versions? I wasn't interested in buying those albums since the only song that interested me was Heavenly Blue, but I wish I had those videos...

Uploading the Nico live to mediafire.

I checked Nyaa and it seems no one has ripped them yet.

^I could if I knew how... sorry. I know the lisani Kimi no Gin and Ongaku are on youtube, but that's it from that one.

Just watched the Red's concert, oblivious live. I did not think it was as bad as everyone was saying. Maybe the only kind of bad one was ttb.

oblivious: thought it was pretty good actually. There were parts that weren't as good as the original, but I wouldn't want them to sing it the same way every time, so variety is nice. (The one at ACen was a bit off since the audio was bad, so was kind of disappointed in that, since this was really good.) They can actually sing 'oblivious' now, instead of being 'obriviousss' heh.

ARIA: I actually thought they nailed it. I love this song too, and while the live doesn't have quite the energy that the studio version does, I don't know, I can see why some people don't like it live. But Hikaru was powerful. I liked how the guy in front (with that hat, and he's really tall) was singing along. Glad there are other people who do that too.)

Manten: It was okay, Wakana was great and Keiko was a bit aggressive again, but maybe because she turns her head a lot? I kind of miss the crazy dance. lol They did not do that at ACen though either.

ttb: I thought Wakana hit all her high notes, but I guess since they have the recorded backing vocals playing too during some parts, it's hard to hear them sometimes. I guess that's why I did not find this one as strong.

Hikari furu: Wow, Wakana did an excellent job! She hit all the high notes and I actually liked it at the end where she was a bit shaky, since it sounded like vibrato instead.

Mirai: I really liked it. Thought it was pretty solid. That guy was singing along again. It's just so catchy and it's one of Yuki's favorite words for Kala songs, I have noticed.

Hikaru's hair kept getting messed up. They must not have used enough spray. And does anyone know what the green words are in the boxes in front of them? Just curious, noticed that one other time but not in other recordings.
