Please don't be a new RyB, please don't be a new RyB, please don't be a new RyB, please don't be a new RyB, please don't be a new RyB, please don't be a new RyB :comeback:

It seems that the rumor is being made real, but the question for what is the single are kill me, I hope really is to Arslan Senki, i can imagine Percussion and Uilleann pipes in that song

Just started watching Arslan Senki . .just one month left before we hear its preview. I hope its kinda similar to Kyouya Ruten or romanesque. . .cause I really enjoyed listening to those kind of historical-themed songs. :D

^Haha . . I mean romanesque has a classical feeling to it, the accordion was simply great. (not to mention that its title 'romanesque' was discussed during my history class XD)
and I hope that 'one light' is not as boring as HB and believe, and I want some accordion for it, plz :)

I knew it!! :XD:

I have high expectation with this song, i hope something totally new

Percussion and Uilleann pipes

Some of you want "period"/"historical-themed" songs and then stuff like "uillean pipes" and "accordion". Make up your mind? Now, I've only seen the first episode of Arslan (and have no intention of seeing more) but I think any combination of those expectations is totally ridiculous, and both of those instruments would be totally unexpected in a show like this. And then look at how generic the other Arslan artists' songs were.

It's going to be another heavenri buru or a ballad. Trust and believe.

^ i have seen all episodes so far, and I can guess it can have a traditional vibe or violin solo like Aoi Eir's but it will be without accordion or pipes for sure since it doesnt fit the mood. Strings are almost certain too, judging from the soundtrack of the anime.

First episode is nothing like the rest of the series - merely a prologue to introduce you to Arslan and the world around him. The series revolves around themes like betrayal, slavery, what it means to be a king, equality, etc.

The OST so far is very string-heavy, so something like cazador del amor would fit the show well.

Not to say Kajiura won't do something "different" but the other song choices for the show certainly don't make you think the producers want annything but pop songs. It's just best to expect heavenri buru.

Ugh, how depressing.

There was a time when I could say, "yay! a new single!" but now it's a case of "I'll wait until I've actually heard it." This does look like one of those franchises that inspires and brings out the best in people like songwriters, but yeah. We'll see. I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here, but if the requirement is a generic and 'ordinary'-sounding theme song, why ask someone who has such a distinctive style? Songs like Heavenly Blue aren't bad per se - it's just, any professional songwriter could've written it.

I've still heard nothing but good things about the show itself, but I don't think I'm going to have the time or patience for something so long and adapted from something that's unfinished. I'm starting to be drawn towards stories with a defined beginning, middle and end these days.

grunty dropped the bomb and quite rightly.\

Kajiura will not work on this song at all. Look at the titles(heavenly blue, ring you bell, one light, believe)... It's as they were written in a bundle but released one at a time.

if she does, we'll know.

^ why do you judge with the title ? sprinter or fairytale as a title dont sound more creative than these, however both songs turned out perfect. They have to use words that are easy for the japanese audience to understand.

I agree with this though, especially OP1 was very generic male song. ritardando said he liked Aoi Eir's song though.

haha sometimes I feel you take extreme views George :)

I, as a fan, expect a modicum of time spent on both the work itself AND the title. As titles become similar, they lose their chance of originality.

imo, there is no such thing as perfectly perfect or perfectly original. However, Kajiura can at least do some justice to her recent Kalafina works by naming them differently , which solves half the problem.

lol George why do you have to compare my preference to grunty's :XD: and yeah I liked Eir's song. it's still mainstream but it has some kind of different flair throughout the song and it's one of the more 'different' song of hers.

well learning from experience, it's better to not have any expectation towards the song and just wait until the song comes rather than be disappointed again. maybe this won't apply to most people here, though :p

A few months ago I wouldn't have agreed with that philosophy but now I can. RYB was an improvement but not enough to stop me worrying about the future. The b-sides are the only thing that's kept up the quality I'd expect from Kalafina.

I'll just wait and see I guess.
