Apart from Yuki, are there other artists you like very much?

Nothing official, keep calm. She just say that nowadays she wants to focus on her solo career and would like to be known as herself and not only "AOT girl". I remember reading an article about it but I don't remember the source.
Thunderbolt Fantasy (2016) was the last project including her, it's already been 3 years and 3 years with Sawano mean a loooot of works. She wasn't on AOT S2 OST either, same for the last two [nZk] albums. If she doesn't sing a song for the final season (2020) then we can consider that she's on a indefinite hiatus with Sawano...

I'm clairvoyant.

//Yeh, I know I just listed almost all that's left to animate... lol...

Edit: Yea, seems to be just a commercial ATM.

#86 Undiscovered / Pauli Hausmann (ft. Alexa Ray, Celica Soldream, Julie Elven)

Pauli's debut album (frequently co-composer at Giantapes, Epic North). As a first album, it's phenomenal (imo, always).
The 80's synths are huge, and paradoxically, make it so modern.
Such grand albums are very few, and it's definitely on a David Chappell or Ivan Torrent level.
Even Thomas Bergersen lags behind, (ofc only synthically speaking).

1 Neon Riders (feat. Celica Soldream) - a synths demonstration, with the talented Celica. Thanks girl for sharing this on the TSFH group, btw.
3 Gaia (feat. Julie Elven) - Julie's voice is always constant, yet this track becomes stronger and stronger as it progresses.
7 Moonlight (feat. Alexa Ray) - a song, Alexa always nails it. There's sth that reminds me of Sundfor's "Oblivion", maybe the reverb and synths.
10 Shadow Dance (feat. Celica Soldream) - The Vocal drop at 3:10 hits differently, it's not simply triumphant.
12 Deepmind - The Choir drop at 3:02 is mindblowing

Will watch Pauli Hausmann career with great interest from now on...

New singles from the upcoming Dune movie / Hans Zimmer
As heard* in the new trailer - extremely intriguing, that was a pretty/creepy amazing vocal drop. Definitely a score he has never done before.
Reviews from the IMAX event: "Muscular, Epic, ZSJLish, Lot of Choirs and Vocals..." Yo, can't wait.

*EDIT: Actually the trailer track is a remix from Mark Petrie (an great Audiomachine composer) who merged Zimmer's themes with his track Vicarious from the release Prototype (2016):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuzWj9arn4wAwesome to see these 2 great guys collaborating - but I think that the choirs layers are still from Hans.

New EDIT: 3 soundtracks coming for this!!!

Freedom, Purpose, Love and now Space! This chapter focuses on space, the universe, our planet and philosophies of our existence.

Space For Rent: A soft piece with choir, as with every other chapter.
Apollo: ft. JFK. This or Steve Jablonsky's "Dark Side of the Moon", which one is the most fitting for Kennedy's epic speech?
Rocket to the Moon: Literally the most heroic, but could fit another tale with dragons or armies (better?), except the end which is very spatial.
Cruising in Space (ft. Merethe Soltvedt): More symphonic metal... but wait for the UFO interlude (5:00) and the (Merethe) Human/Alien (Synth) encounter (6:10). I'd like to have a non-metal version though.
Made of Air: More Synthwave! With Choirs, vocals.
One Million Voices: Already shown in 2019, to thank 1 million fans. Includes several world music genres.
Made of Water: Could fit a nature documentary. Love the progression from atmospheric piano to bombastic drums.
Made of Earth: Bombastic, with choirs in a more TSFH's old style. Heavy, like earth.
Please Don't Go: Everything's in the title.
Made of Fire: The track becomes real at 4:02. Choirs and vocal reminds me of "My freedom".
Dear Mr. Alien: Already shown in 2018, written following a shooting.
Rocket to the Moon (Reprise): Ah, the Song Drop.
So Small: Already shown in 2019. Soft choirs. I was disappointed when it was used to preview Humanity, but in the end it's a good track to conclude this bombastic adventure in space.

I was expecting a more "Final Frontier" (Interstellar trailer music) musical genre, but no. Anyway. Great cover-art too.
As much as between stars, the gap between those chapters tho

#132 The Dune Sketchbook / Hans Zimmer

Mixed feelings about this work.
+ | I found it extremely immersive during the movie, with dark and world thematics that I liked. Truly elevates the movie to another dimension.
The way he used the bagpipes, quite innovating. The vocal drop hitting in Dolby Atmos was top notch. Great work in finding a super fitting sound design.
- | I couldn't find this greatness back in the albums. Nor do I feel the atmosphere anymore. Clearly lacking in melodies like many recent Zimmer's releases. Not really solid (many tracks feel empty). I'm not so much into old musics, but the 1984 score seems at least more orchestral and melodic... doesn't feel too old compared to this lol.

Is it an achievement? Dunno. It's unique and totally fitting the movie so it's a win. But take it out of the movie and it's just weird, sometimes even uninspired if it isn't for the sound design, bad considering the complex and well described lore of the story. 3rd album next month will say if this work was worth 3 releases and 4h (?) of music.

About the movie, good to see this lore brought back to the big screen. One can feel it's way more complex than a Star Wars, Star Treks & co ^^
I know it was inspired by, but that makes me confident that the even more complex lore of Wh40k could have a serious adaptation in the (grim darkness of the far) future. Fingers crossed for Eisenhorn series.

#134 Surreal / Ramin Djawadi
https://open.spotify.com/album/4Q8ne5c9cAwENr8CsTdW0Dhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi3VrXszwaIThe amazing composer has a new studio - and very experimental album!
It is used for the water feature in Expo 2020 Dubai that opened today, but was it created for?

#135 New World / Ramin Djawadi & Brandon Campbell
Good soundtrack with many elements; makes me want to play this game. Great sound design. Just wish the album was longer.
