Akiko Shikata

Sorry guys, but what it the release date? Totally forgot about it :uh..:

Holy shit, it's all vocal. I am very impressed. Will listen to the samples in a minute.

EDIT:
OH MY FUCKING GOD @ #09 I AM FUCKING EARGASMING NOW

Edit2:
03&09. OK, I'm buying this.

The samples I managed to download are really good (2, 8, 9) but for some reason the site sjows me 503 error for the rest :uh..:

EDIT
oh they work now :dote:

I saw that in the website the have samples of the booklet. If someone get the full booklet, please share with me so that I can translate the greek lyrics for you :)

you should start searching where to buy it grunty. Comiket goods sometimes are not so easy to buy overseas.

The regular edition is available on amazon. v( '')v

The usual but highly worthy stuff from Akiko. :dote: IMHO few themes suit her music like epics and mythology do. Looking forward to the upbeat tracks and Hymen most (though I'm constantly reminding myself that "hymen" isn't an English word here :omg: :desksweat: :XD: ), but the rest also sounds promising.

Wow, this is the first time I've heard of her. I do enjoy some of the samples, and I want to listen to her previous works. Any suggestions for a first time listener? :ayashii:

Try her Harmonia album

If you think you'd be more into her FOLK sound then go for RAKA, if anime/game songs are more of your thing then try Harmonia.

The new samples cooled me down a little. The main parts of the Thrylos sample sound awesome, but the rest of it does not surprise - I feel she's done that kind of buildup before. Kasasagi sounds very nice, but Kimi no namae did not impress.

Full versions have changed my opinions in the past though so I'm patiently waiting...

Especially when full versions ARE diverse. Umineko no Naku Koro ni was "oh, another nice song like Katayoku no Tori, but I like that one better" for me when I heard the short version. Then I heard Rengoku mix of it and was blown away.

What others said, but I also advise not to miss out on her works for Umineko, Ar Tonelico and Katayoku no Tori/Utsusemi singles. You'll hear many different sides of Akiko's music that way. :sparkleguy:

B-But the original Umineko no Naku Koro ni is still superior to Katayoku no Tori! :ohoho:
