Akiko Shikata

Harmonia was my first album by her and i didn't like it back then :XD: I liked her orgel and AT albums first and then i went back and gave Harmonia a chance again..and loved it  Istoria-Musa is one of my first too :sohappy:

Since the thread is bumped might as well mention that Istoria~Kalliope (novel+CD+DVD) will be coming out on December 31, during this upcoming Comiket.

^ I can traslate the lyrics if you want because if I remember well they are in Greek, and unlike Kiseki (from Harmonia) - where she sung with right pronunciation in most of the parts- her pronunciation is terrible in these songs, but if she re-records them I guess it will be ok.

Listened to Harmonia only once today, but this won't be the last time. The stand-out track for me is Kuon no Umi; words can't express how beautiful I think it is.

If listening to Istoria ~Musa~ is a similar experience, then I'm excited. :XD:

Yeah, it's one of my fave tracks on the album, too. :dote: Along with Kiseki, Uzumibi and Harmonia~Mihatenu Chi he :plot:

Well, the last song seems to be in the same vein... :ayashii:

I like the konodan song from what you can hear in the horrible TV rip on tokyotosho. The show is a drama CD with a shitload of typesetting.

Thanks grunty! :sohappy: I will now translate the greek that are on the PV.

[EDIT]

PV's greek:

greek

Γκρίζα στην
στον ουρανο

Ποός παίζει
είναι τόσο

Το τιμόνι
χάνει τον ελ(ενχο)

Έλα,

Ποιός παίζει αυτην την μουσική;

transliteration

griza stin
ston ourano

Poios pezi

To timoni
hani ton el(enho)

Ela,

Poios pezi aftin tin musiki?

traslation

(1) most of the greek are fragments from lyrics that dont really make sense apart from the last phrase 2) the symbol ";" in greek is the questionmark like "?" in latin languages. )

Grey at

Who plays
its so

The steering wheel
loses the con(trol)

Come,

Who plays that music?

=================================================

I just noticed that I still have the file from 2 years ago approximately where I had translated the 4 Akiko songs with greek lyrics from Musa, here they are

Erato

greek

Τραγουδάω

μαζί με τα πουλιά που κελαηδάνε

Λέω ένα τραγούδι

με ευχές για σένα για αύριο

Απλώς το λέω.

romanized

Tragudao

Leo ena Tragudi

Aplos to leo.

traslation

I sing

together with the birds which sing

I say a song

with wishes for you for tomorrow

I just say it.

Terpsichora

romanized

Pexe omorfus ihus me ti lira

Eximnise ton iho tiw flogas. Ton rithmo tis psihis

Traguda ya ta pathiasmena esthimata. Tis mistikes efhes

Ifane ton iho, tin epanalamvanomeni prosefhi. Tragudi yine ena megalo kima

Kita pros ton urano, me eyliyista herya, parta ola ston kosmo

Ta podia pu patane to homa ine yemata zoi

O, fantaktera ruha, pu horevun trela pio omorfa apo petaludes.

traslation

Play beautiful sounds with the lyre.

Belaud the sound of the flame. The rythm of the soul.

Sing for the passioned feelings. (For) the secret wishes.

Weave the sound, the repeatitive prayer. Song, be a big wave.

Look to the sky, with flexible hands, take everything to the world.

The feet that keep their foothold on the soil are filled with life.

O, fancy clothes, that dance madly prettier than butterflies.

Polymnia

romanized

Let us open the door. The world is so beautiful.

The happiness that melts. The whisper that the breeze makes.

For all the beings, there is a history.

Its very important and lovely.

Let me to hear the name of the history that was born into your soul.

Kalliope

translation

Justice more magnificent than the wind

Love deeper than the sea.

Eyes that see
the cycle of the eternety of the time

Sing for the beauty of the mortal life

Belaud the human (/man)
who has hold his love and cries

Voices that sing the love
that never fades.

Voices that sing and spread
enlace everything

Words engraved by the fingers

Are passing from mouth to mouth accompanied by tears.

It's the new CD tracklist? o.o

Thanks Trunks Elk! Yes it sohuld be the new CD tracklist. I can romanise and translate the greek part:

#1 Thrylos (they should have written Θρύλος instead if they like the greek writting) means Legend
#2 Istoria (Ιστορία - History)
#4 - Τα εννέα πουλία (Ta ennea Pulia - The nine birds)
#5 - Ήρωες Αργοναύτες ((H)Iroes Argonaftes - Heroes Argonauts)
#8 - Μοναδική αγάπη (Monadiki Agapi - Special [or Only] Love)
#9 Άδης (Adis - Hades)

btw the official site seems to have various novels here http://vagrancy.jp/istoria_kalliope/novel.html Im curious as to what they are about

Kalliope_b5_600.jpg

oh and the ancient greek that are on the cover art are the first 4 lines from Isiodos's Theogonia which can be found here http://www.theogonia.gr/cosmogonia/down ... ogonia.pdf

Thanks!!!

I was wondering if we will be able to buy it in CDJanan. D:

Wow, sounds like a concept album with Greek mythology... Should be deilicious. :dote:

I think I'll put Istoria PV that Grunty posted to Recommendations section, since it seems to be one of the few actual PVs (or the closest we can get to them from Akiko). :ayashii:

Akiko just posted on twitter. Someone want to romanize?

It's the new CD tracklist? o.o

Let's see...

1. Denshou (Legend)
3. Pierisu
4. Kasasagi
5. Seireen (Selene, the moon goddess?)
6. Kimi no namae (Your name)
7. Hyumen (Tsuzukimasu, Shikata)
8. Euryudiku
9. Gekijou (Passion)
10. Owari no hate (The end of the end)
11. Hoshi no Hi (or Hoshi no Tomoshibi) (The stars' light)
12. Tetisu (Tethys, the...ocean goddess, I think?)
13. Eiyuu hafuri (Guessing on the second word's romaji, but it literally means 'funeral', so this is "The hero's funeral".)

Sweet! Some time ago Shikata said Istoria~Kalliope would be a 6 track vocal CD so I wonder if the extra tracks are vocal or instrumental... or perhaps even audio drama/monologues?

It may become a bit clearer when track durations are revealed. I doubt audio dramas would last less than 10 minutes (monologues, on the other hand...). :ayashii:

Considering it's a doujin release I don't think we will be getting tracklengths before it's actually released. :)
