Akiko Shikata

B-But the original Umineko no Naku Koro ni is still superior to Katayoku no Tori!

Katayoku has a more ominous chorus :ohoho: Although concerning the Umineko album, Kiniro no Chousou ~Uruwashii no Bansan~ might still be the best one there. :dote:
Overall, though, my fave Umineko-related song is VII. :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed:

Technically, kiniro is a song by Luck garninki the akiko one is a version a good version but not so original like the rest. out of these album the prologue is the stronger one. and reflects episode 1 mode perfectly.

I tough there would be more love for byuakumu no mayu. it is more recent after all.

Comparing to the original version, I like Rengoku more too. But I just can't compare it with Katayoku. They are both great :dote:

It went straight to crown my Akiko Shikata toplist. Actually, it was after hearing the short version in a MAD that I started searching for it and came across Harmonia and VII in the process. :XD:

Yegads... The smile on my face during Pieris...
FFFFFF..... The eargasm during Hades...
Ooooo..... The surprise during Tsui no Hate...

To be honest I think this CD could only consist of the Pieris and Eurydice stories and still be worth the whole price.

*fixed title

Here's the first song's greek lyrics translation.
At some point I will post some guidelines on how to read the greek lyrics.
Btw all songs are awesome :dote:

[...]

Legend

Come, sing a myth of yours
Your moth is the great Mnimosini.
Your father is Zeus.
You're the great Muse,
Kalliope.

[...]

Stupid girls provoked the God
Got punished and flew in the sky.
[...]

The Seren discourages the ship's sail
It blows is with the pure sound of her lyre.
[...]

Worring about the cruel fate of his brother
the God of marriage plays the flute

Shout out the name of his loved one.
Wanders in the dark path of Hades

[...]

While wiping her falling tears
saluts the spirit of her son, of the hero.
[...]

Take happiness and sadness
(and) the big love
make them sound and words, and sing.

^ fixed. I kinda had done it in a hurry so there might be some mistakes here and there.

However I cant spot most of the greek lirics while listening to the song, since her pronounciation is not as good as it was in kiseki. Guess we need the japanese lyrics to figure out.

Huh? What do you mean? I know her pronunciation is not great but all the greek is in the booklet. Do you not have it?

They are typing out the lyrics here as well: tieba.baidu.com/p/1346565518 .

[...]

Μπορείτε να ακούσετε αυτήν την φωνή;
Μπορείτε να ακούσετε αυτό το τραγούδι;
Μπορείτε να δείτε τον κόσμο που ξημερώνει;

*: Note: The booklet wrote "Ελάτε να ακούστε" but that's wrong and is probably mistake of the person that worte the translation who got confused by the previous stanza, It should "Ελάτε, ακούστε" which translates to "Come, listen".

History

Began the age when the God and humans
face each other (conflict)

[...]

Can you hear that voice?
Can you hear that song?
Can you see this dawning world?

Come, listen carefully, and open your eyes
Future awaits you.
Extend your hands to catch something

Come, step on the ground and jump further
Now begins a brilliant story (history)

[...]

The golden rain falls
The silver clouds go away
and the village is full of happiness

[...]

Human are born, human die,
and many stories get plat with each other to colourize the era.
Go farward dear children.
The deities are with you.

@grunty: I know, I am taking them from the booklet too. I meant the way she sings them, make it difficult for me to recognise them while listening. If I had the romanij of the japanese lyrics I could see when the japanese end and where the greek ones start.

Hmm... Pieris should be easy to figure out for you while Hades might be a pain in the ass, just like the 2nd EXEC_OVER.METHOD_SUBLIMATION...

The rest is either all greek or all japanese, so that should be easy. :p

Oh, lol - they are in the inaudible background vocals. It does sometimes happen in her songs... I'm taking a guess Hades might be similar.

"Borite na akusete aftin tin phoni?
Borite na akusete (...)"
@1:04; the rest is inaudible during the refrain lol

"Elate patiste sto edafos ke pidixte brosta,
Tora xekinai mia lampri istoria."
@1:42; after the first refrain

"I hrisi brohi pefti
ta asimenia sinefa fevgun
ke to horia eine yemato hara."
@2:10; during the 2nd verse

"I anthpi yeniude i anthropi pethenun,
ke poles istories plekode ya na pari hroma i epohi.
Prohoriste agapita pedia.
i theotites ine mazi sas."
@3:08; a guess :P you can hear the "ine mazi sas(u)" as the last background vocals @3:36

#3 Pieris

Gained wings to fly,
and disappeared away.

#4 Kasasagi - Τα εννέα πουλιά -

Greek
-------

*: Note: It would be more correct to say "Μέχρι τη στιγμή που θα σπάσουν τα φτερά τους" but the translation doesnt change much.

Kasasagi - The nine birds -

The nine little birds go
to the lake today and tomorrow to the forst

And someday, till the end of sky
they'll go singing

Till the day their voices get hoarse
Till the moment their wings break

I hear the magpies croaking.
It sounds very sad.

Its greediness, someone said

Stupid dear birds,
sing lowdly
forget your uppishness, and sing
dismiss your flatulent greediness, and fly

I hear the magpies croaking.
It sounds very happy.

Its a wish, someone said

Stupid dear birds,
sing lowdly
Singing isn't a sin.
There's no way melody's a sin.
