No 106 yet, huh? Want more! heh So was cutting off her hair part of the "punishment" for her? Or is that what they just did back in the day? I know about the whole scalping thing, but I thought that was just for samurai. Then when her brother presented it to her "husband" it seemed that way. I hope she can get away from him, that was a really cute baby! And it actually looked newborn, since sometimes they don't put newborns in shows like that. Junpei is just such a weird name. The first time I heard it, I thought he said Jiken, which means time. heh Oh well. I really hope I get a job before October so I can get both soundtracks at once, since I don't have the physical copy of one yet, and I love it so much.

Wow, I hope nothing happened to Eiji's brother. Watching this show is actually making me hate the US, just for what they did to them. And Grave of the Fireflies is the same way with me. (That movie makes me cry every time.) The Café does have a pretty strong building though, so hopefully nothing happened. Ahhh I want to watch the next one!

Music: Loved both the songs, but the first one was my favorite as well. I hope they make a 3rd soundtrack with this in it! If not please have another Works for Soundtrack. Please? :plz:

from NHK, there was. on the previous page.

Grave of the Fireflies gets me every time too.

as for the second OST, somehow i feel i will like it less than the first one but so far it's great. we'll see.

I am so far behind on the episodes...I need to start back on watching it on my days off
also, love the soundtrack :dote:

<3 Aki!!!! The first album is gorgeous, such relaxing music :tea:

This is the feeling I'm getting too. I'll probably love it because the new music is beautiful and really well composed. But the first soundtrack blew me away with it's diversity of instruments, something I'm not getting with these new pieces. I guess it's to be expected as the show moves closer to more serious topics.

^Like in the last episode.

It really made me sad. Poor Kayo. But it was kind of a happy moment at the end. I am pretty sure the ambient piano music was new. I really liked it, even though it will probably make me cry now when I listen to it. (So since from the scene in the very beginning of the 1st episode, you don't see Eiji Muraoka, does he not survive, or does he go into battle? I am sure Hanako's brother does. I would think Eiji would want to avenge his brother, or try to. But he's not with Hanako when she is older, which is why I am asking.)

^Oh are they moving into the ww2? I am really behind, but it is hard to catch up when bilibili is really slow and that other site won't working for me.

I wonder how far the show will go?

Maybe up to the release of the book? She was translating Anne of Green Gables during the war, so I'm sure they'll cover at least some of it.

Well, I am not sure where that explosion came from, I thought it was from a bomber plane, but I could be wrong. (It seemed like the whole area got hit, since they said Ginza, so that's why I thought it was the start of it already. I should read up on her life, if there's anything online.) Now it's going to be sad probably, not that it was all happy, just that I liked Eiji's brother.

Edit: I found this page that is cool, shows pictures of the original Prince and Pauper book that she had. (If this site is real that is.) http://club.pep.ne.jp/~r.miki/index_e.htm

2:20- piano and strings.
11:08- piano and strings.
14:36- Uillean pipes + brass + drums. Sounds like a new arrangement of My Story.

No bombing. It was the Kanto earthquake

^Ah, thanks for clearing that up. (Sorry for any spoilers to those who haven't watched it!)

On that website too it says that she has a daughter, not a son, so did they change it for the show? Or does she have a daughter too? So obviously Eiji survives, good, we just don't know where he is in that scene in the very beginning. Maybe they'll explain it.) I found that interesting that they could not get it published (Anne and the Green Gables translation until 6 years after the war. Well, it was understandable, but still. That's a long time.

Oh and here is the link for 108 in bilibili since in FC2 it says it's already down: http://www.bilibili.com/video/av1363915/

^Yes, but when Ms.Blackburn visited her she said "we're so glad we got to see your baby boy" or something like that. Plus, Ayumu can still be a boy's name.
Due to some stupid connection issues, I'm still at ep 102 now  Gotta watch the rest later.

Also, idk if this helps, but I uploaded the previous Hanako eps to Mediafire (I wanted to keep all the eps, but ran out of disk space)
If anyone needs it, feel free to download:

the music with piano and strings were old but the arrangement at the end was new i think.

thanks wormbook! also, those who are interested in the HD (720p) copies of the episodes may go to the links i posted earlier.
