can easily be overtaken by HIKARU in Kalafina
As long as you don't mind Hikaru yelling Wakana's higher notes.

No, we certainly don't want the disaster known as "Natsu no Ringo LIVE"! I meant to be more specific with the lower range notes that WAKANA is assigned :pAs long as you don't mind Hikaru yelling Wakana's higher notes.

okay spongebob squareihaveanopinionpants, calm down. i obviously agreed with your opinion because i liked your post. duh?So what? That is my opinion
that ain't wakana in the recorded version. don't care what anyone says. kajiura always does some weird stuff for live versions of songs just to put wakana in the spotlight i just don't see the purpose.Lower range, sure. Wakana's voice is barely audible in her lower range, like in Magia when she sings "toki wo koete". But noo, let's have Wakana sing that, even though Keiko is clearly ideal for that line!

Put Wakana in the spotlight? You mean giving her a single line in a song she would pretty much otherwise have no lines for is putting her in the spotlight? Did Wakana kick your dog or something?that ain't wakana in the recorded version. don't care what anyone says. kajiura always does some weird stuff for live versions of songs just to put wakana in the spotlight i just don't see the purpose.
Oh I know that. I should've specified it was the live version. Hikaru sings those lines in the rec version.
About the second thing, could you tell me some other examples? Can't remember any other times it happened.

What the hell happened to this thread. It's the YK12 thread and we're here talking about how Wakana spat on Hikaru and locked Keiko in a room somewhere while laughing in Kajiura's embrace.
Pretty sure you're the one who commissioned her to kick my dog.Oops. Right. Shouldn't engage the irrational. Silly me.
I really should stop coming here...
Her part in ARIA lives. She's not powerful enough at all. Kajiura gives her parts that are too big for her.
And I'll never get over the image theme of Xenosaga II. *sniff*
I mean, she has a nice voice hence why I loved where the lights are and some other songs but she really cannot handle powerful songs at all.
1. The first and the main rule is to respect each other. Don't be rude and don't insult the others (being passive aggressive counts).
"Your tone seems very pointed right now."Did I hurt your feelings? Good thing I don't care. Bye Felicia.
ARIA: I don't like how she sings it either. Maya was perfect when she sang it in YKL2. I wonder if Keiko would sound good. She tends to be a bit shouty on higher notes.
Image theme: Her voice is indeed weak for this one. It's weird because in YKL2 her voice sounded full, like it could handle this song, but then the live album came out and it was kinda sucky. And it's even worse now that her voice changed. Keiko would definitely be a better option for this one.
Can't tell if racist or not."Your tone seems very pointed right now."
Lol. Should i start snapping my fingers and go "yaaaaas qweeeeen"?
As much as I like the girls, I really think it's time to add more singers to the group. I truly believe that a part of Kajiura's current stagnation comes from the fact that she just works with the same voices over and over again.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure grunty's remark is just a reference to a reality TV show with very sassy competitors.

One major example of this is "Mizu no Akashi".. I was gravely disappointed listening to her rendition. The vocal range is lower in this song for her and it's so plain... She did NOT deliver the song for me. Same with "I have a dream". The first half of the song being just her was dry as the Sahara.. I admit it was "peaceful" but I just felt no dynamic in her voice.
Her head voice (i.e. liminality, where the lights are, hikarifuru, love come down) is where she truly shines in my heart.
