^ plus that Sound Horizon does 1 big tour per year, not several lives spread across the year like Kalafina and FJ. So they kinda save money for these 11 concerts.
Well colour me surprised. I checked a friend's pamphlet and both the percussion and uilleann pipes will be present for the orchard hall performances. Wow. Accordion as well. Basically everyone will be present. Isn't this better than KajiFes? lol. There's strings and no unwanted baggage either *coughemilycough*But the percussionist will be there on the Orchard Hall Specials according to your post here, @Hatouchan.
dammit why can't we quote a post with a quote inside. https://forum.canta-per-me.net/threads/yuki-kajiura-live-vol-12-7days-orchard-special.5271/page-5
The problem with FJ is the lack of activity, coverage or even presence. Nobody knows who they are anymore. Kalafina has stayed in the limelight long enough for people to recognise them (SME/Aniplex pushing them with big shows and all). At this point, most casual listeners just confuse FJ with Kalafina since the members overlap and Kalafina is now the more famous one. I lost count of the number of times people confused stone cold to be Kalafina's song...Nope, they're famous alright. And Revo has gotten even more popular ever since the Shingeki no Kyojinoverratedsongs released. Kajiura is famous enough but even now I think Japanese still prefer Kalafina/know Kalafina better over her own project as FJ.
+ also let's not forget the labels. I think Pony Canyon support Revo more than Flying Dog does to YK, and I wonder why Kajiura-san haven't moved to SME. Let's not say SNK songs are OVERRATED. I think the main reason for their popularity is that Revo made them for SNK. You can see that in the lyrics.Nope, they're famous alright. Does it matter? It is overrated, even if it was written for SnK. What kind of support do you think that Pony Canyon is giving Revo that Kajiura isn't getting from FlyingDog?+ also let's not forget the labels. If you believe that SNK songs were overrated cuz they are releted to SNK, then why didn't the same thing happen to the EDs? We all know that Revo is a good composer and lyricist (maybe not good singer) and he knows how to make an addictive songs at least for TV size. Now about what Pony Canyon provide for Revo. If you knew that his last album Nein was done by more than 140 (musicians, singers, voice actors and narrators). Thus I don't believe he have done this without good support from P C.^Kalafina wouldn't have gotten nearly as big as they are today without the backing of the SME/Aniplex shows. Kalafina not getting any musical freedom under SME? I think that comes with the territory of being a tie up song. You have to adhere to the requests of the directors, etc. It's not like she has never been given freedom with Kalafina before. From what are you concluding that she doesn't like SME, or that SME is restricting her musical freedom.

Even though numbers aren't our main subject, but you can check the 10th Anni site to know the right number which is 145.No way they are this many. It probably refers to all the staff used
http://sh-whitecrow.com/2015/03/singers-and-musicians-in-9th-story-nein-announced/
singers are 17 along with Revo, VAs 5, narrators 2, musicians 14, and the instrument units shouldnt be more than 8 people each, chorus I dont know but nothing huge.
no unwanted baggage either *coughemilycough*
I agree with you especially about the first point. Indeed SNK songs aren't his best works, but he got what he wants from them ( popularity and sales ).I said they're overrated because people were like "omg the song is so great" "so epic" while tbh Revo has composed much better songs than that loud blaring musics that are his SnK songs :p
Anyway, the number of musicians involved isn't equal to recording label's support. So far Kajiura's songs (for her "pop" project, not for soundtrack) don't need that much musicians and singers since she tended to stick to those she trusted already. And it's not fair to compare SH with, let's say Kalafina or FJ. Both Kalafina and FJ only have 3 and 4 main vocalists respectively, so even in that aspect Kajiura is already outnumbered not to count the VA and narrators :p it's different story altogether when it comes to soundtrack but we're not talking about that here.
You say it like the lives that Kajiura gets to do is all that common. I have felt nothing but a lot of love from the staff that let her do her lives and let her put out her live albums. And yes, FlyingDog is involved in those.I agree with you especially about the first point. Indeed SNK songs aren't his best works, but he got what he wants from them ( popularity and sales ).
Let's agree that labels are different. You can't say that working with SME is like working with Flying Dog! I mentioned the number because you know that fan service album like "Nein" will sell for fans mostly, not new comes ( and that's true ). Therfore, putting much efforts in such product needs trust from the label.

Actually, is it common? Doesn't feel that way.
Honestly, it just feels like they produce all that because they love her music, and not so much because it is earning big bucks. I mean.. the stellar sales numbers for the latest live album justifies the releases right? /s
