Thanks, Acid_Mouthwash for this!!
Short comment:
Red Moon is epic. like a war song. it is for me as epic as lacrimosa. Oh, and maybe it is because of the similarity of the title RED moon and RED cliff and the theme, this songs reminds me a lot of that movie. And this kind of song does fit the game.
Tetotemetome ... hm... It is nice that Keiko has almost her solo. While the song isn't bad, but it doesn't impress me much (maybe not yet, or maybe never) .
Fantasia is rather catchy. This song makes me forgives Progressive and balance the album though. i thought Progressive would destroy the album. But this song really helps it as it is similar and more catchy and dunno... darker? And it is rather disjointed
Haru wa Ougon no Yume no Naka. About this song... my oh my... now I wish lirica was in the album instead of this b-side quality song. Boring and not appealing. This is the far lowest song of Kalafina, even lower than progressive which I hate but still have rather nice melody,
Yami no Uta and Hoshi no Utai... hm... they are too chaotic and more BGM like. Although I can stand Yami no Uta, Hoshi no Utai is really hard to love. The girls have their part in the song though, and the change between the girls feel seamless, especially keiko to hikaru, and hikaru to wakana.
Kyrie. I love it as much as the first time I heard it from the live version, although the live sounds more energetic, the BGM of this studio version really good and electronic.
Overall, I can't love this album as much as seventh heaven. I totally dislike 2 songs here where I dislike none in seventh heaven. And the new songs I really love are only Red moon and Kyrie. While this album feels more oriental, the cover doesn't really match with this feeling. Seventh Heaven's fits better in this one. They should change the cover, SH for RM and RM for SH.
I will give this album something between 7.5/10 where as Seventh Heaven receives 9/10.
@armisael : agree... I don't love yuki and kalafina because of animes. I find Kalafina is rather more accessible to the world rather than FictionJunction and See-Saw because they have more J-Pop songs-like. I'm still dreaming that Yuki will someday compose Trip-Hop track or Bjork-like track.
