Waiting for Kalafina 2nd album, Red Moon

End Note: I feel like this album really showed the girls using power and passion, where as in Seventh Heaven they showed their nice, angelic sides to their wonderful voices. This album had more of an oriental feel to it.... I like it ;)

I agree, but I still like all the songs....je je...

@ George: Maybe THIS is the opening for Nobunaga no Yabou? I'm just guessing based on my impression of it being an Anime OP

The only proble is that Nobunaga no Yabou is a game ^^ andsince from what I have seen the game is strategic & in Bakumatsu era, maybe Hoshi no Utai is the tie up song

A short comment about "Red Moon":

1. Red Moon: AWESOME!
3. Te to Te to Me to Me: Dunno. I don't like this style so much (oriental?), but somehow it sounds interesting. Maybe I have to hear it more often to get used to it.
4. fantasia: That's a nice song :shy:
5. Haru wa Ougon no Yume no Naka: I think it's a bit boring...
6. Kyrie: Love it! :nosebleed:
7. Yami no Uta: yeah this song is....strange. Not bad at all, but...extraordinary XD Sounds like a BGM.
8. Hoshi no Utai: nice song²
10. Intermezzo: At first I thought that it was a song from the Re/Oblivious album lol. A sweet song, but nothing more.

As for my "Wakana can't sing" comments, for which all the Chinese speaking fandom seems to be sending me to hell... well, until I see a TV performance or bootleg recording where she doesn't suck... Yep, my opinion still stands.

Do the interviews where they sing a bit of Storia and Kizuato don't count?

i really find this album better than Seventh heaven, both in arrangements and production values, this sounds far more sophisticated imho. Love come down and Ongaku are great songs, but they're so over the top ANIME-ish that they disgust me at times. I do NOT like Kalafina nor Yuki because anime, i like them because of the music they create. I believe that Red Moon is an effort towards a different direction, one of a more "ethereal" or "world music" band, something that i think, fits them quite well. I am a fan of music from all corners of the world, and to me Red Moon is a great album, not from a band of girls hired to sing some anime ending songs, but rather a well stablished group of performers that keep evolving with each release.

listening to the album right now in 320kbps. so far, i'm blown away by the titular track! will post my thoughts on the rest of the album later.
