Wouldn't really say it switches to a fun style, lulz. The two strings parts are similar, just that one ends with choir and the second one doesn't have it, just like in this episode (except it's edited down compared to the seiyuu vid). The restart/transition between them is exactly like in this episode, too. (Except the part at ~0:50-52 is repeated twice in the seiyuu video.)

016 is the one that switches styles in the middle to me. ^_^ The two long ass accordion solos with rooftop chase quasi-untzuntz in the middle. (The proper untzuntz version of it appears to be a separate track, which I did not assume in my rips but then realized it listening to the drama and cooking tokuten discs.)

that organ is the waltz I think... it's really nice, I want it to be a bit more developed. I hope it's one with the choir+strings part.

I like the sad strings. it's tinsy bit repetitive but I welcome Kajiura's use of pizzicato too xD

that new parts of the waltz is also nice of course but so, is that one whole track ? ? (there is also double bass here if I hear right which is so nice) or is it multiple tracks? I want them to be one track but...
 
Its obviously multiple tracks. You know how Kajiura usually works. She makes 2-3 themes and then arranges each in various ways. She is working like this pretty much since noir. The organ track i bet is "Alteration Device" title.

What worries me is that they have pretty much run out of tracks to use as far as this OST goes, or there are other tracks that wont be released in this OST ? And there are 8 other eps left !

I think they still have 7 or so unused tracks left on the OST.
Seems likely the way they've been dropping them. Besides, in the 1st cour there's been like only 2 or 3 new tracks in the second half of the cour. (From what I remember El Melloi had only one new track in the last 5 episodes.)
We'll see how it goes but I refuse to believe there would be unreleased stuff. I refuse!

I think it's one track, maybe with a restart in the middle. (Re: different accordion intros but basically the same main part, if we ignore the bits they'd never used before). (See: 001b also on Vanitas here, Fena's "battle on to the east").
But we'll see. Gib ost! Just a little over 2 weeks to go...

I love these track lengths ! I really hope they will be properly developed tracks not just with loops on what we havent heard yet, and this will turn into an awesome soundtrack.
 
Great news!

Now looking for the track on the roof before meeting Jeanne, the Hanae violin track and the one on the balcony during the bal masqué. Were they featured in the soundtrack preview, or can we deduce them with the lengths?

Average track length seems good.
 
wowo 2 hourss and the track lengths are very good.

so.... wait. @grunty-kun, your rips are what 1hr 16 min? didn't I get your latest? anyway if so, what is the rest ? lol I'd be super pleasantly surprised if this surpassed Fena because they held back a big chunk of the music. Kajiura doesn't loop (can't recall any tracks really) so it's all new bits ? still there are episodes left but wowow if we get to hear this much.

What I posted was only the first cour, which should be about 40 tracks. Surely there's some new parts here and there, too. (I don't think they ever used the last minute of "a happy moment" or the first minute of "the destiny waltz", so there's bound to be some others like that.)

Not to mention I messed up with the BD menu track when I probably could've made a longer version based on the seiyuu program... I guess I never bothered comparing the two? "Owell." Better longer than those rips, rather than shorter. We blessed. ^_^

I'm not a fan of the choir/strings ShortPV5 track but I guess it's better than if it was just strings.
041, le chasseur - still not sure if the vocal part before the guitar solo is complete here but mebe it is, that previously unused guitar solo beginning is nice.

Dang, @Sora, you were right, they are blazing through the chapters. Already in the middle of volume 7 and there's another 7 episodes left - volume 9 was released last July, I guess they'll compile volume 10 this year. Wish they had managed the first cour better so I'd care more.

Yeah the first half was just screaming for anime original content. The manga’s not even done so I don’t know why they didn’t just whip up some monster of the weeks cases to help things breathe better
 
not much left now !

I am not a fan of the choir track either. too loud choir and it sounds like a cacophony. maybe that's intended but it didn't appeal to me at first listen.
