So that circus bgm played again at the beginning of S2 ep 11 and there were some bgm play with instrument mutings here and there between 9 and 11, grunty are you still watching ?

I'm skipping through it. I really couldn't care less for the Noe x Vanitas melodrama.
Going by the ending of this episode I presume their relationship will FINALLY progress (but I already thought that would happen with the bell tower scene of episode 6 and that went nowhere) and the manga's story will also go into new territory (whenever that might be looking at the time between chapters).
Episode 23 covered chapter 53 completely. 2 (or 3 with the one they released this week) chapters remaining for the last episode. They really completely caught up to the manga with this cour.
As for music, they've been muting layers of BGMs from the start and it's nothing surprising. Only the merry go round track is not on the OST.

Iunno. I'm not sure what it is.
I think it's the long ass deep reverb (particularly on the bass or eguitar, like you can hear @2:30 and ending) in which it feels like everything's drowning and getting louder as it overlaps. I'm not sure if it's that but to me the track sounds a mess.

Its a good thing that it didnt have some anime original ending, so if the 2nd cour BDs sell well we might get an S2 :)

There's no more chapters to adopt at this point. 24 episode ended with the chapter released last month in Japan, so...maybe after 4 years :D

There's technically no unreleased tracks in Vanitas (except that carrousel BGM in the last arc that is probably not Kajiura...) or Fena (except maybe that one weird drone sound in ?ep11?). Alts however... yes, there do be alts there in both...
I definitely don't want to blindly spend 120+ usd (and that's not counting shipping and all the import taxes)... TBH I'd rather not. Period, lol.
A rip to at least sample the mix would be nice.

Kay, I gave in and just ordered. Only Part 1 for now. It's probably going to take ages to arrive but oh well. Here's hoping the bluray is not utter shite.
Update on Part 1:
Eh. From sampling the 6ch audio doesn't seem like a complete filtered mess (JPN stereo sounds superior and look at Part 2 comments below) but the main dialogue is almost always in EVERY channel for no goddamn reason (Edit: psh, music and the reverbed dialogue are at about the same levels in front and rear channels... useless... poo...). Poop... I'll spend some time figuring out if any tracks are exclusive to Part 1 and see if the mix has anything to offer in regards to our interests... but probably not. Unless someone is excited for shitty audio with only a tiny bit less dialogue...
From sampling the blurays don't seem tragic (other than the fact that BONES doesn't animate anywhere near 1080p) so I'll probably bite for Part 2 to not be sorry later...
PS. I forgot how quiet the music in this show is.
Update on Part 2:
Eh. More of the same (reverbed dialogue in all channels almost all the time, quiet music). Something I did not realize when I sampled the first volume (and might be there - I just did not realize back then) is that music in side channels takes a dip whenever someone speaks - it would be okay if it got quiet once per dialogue but it feels like it's constantly dipping up and down with the intensity of dialogue (or maybe it cuts out frequencies rather than changing volume, not sure...). It's infuriatingly annoying when you mute the center channel which, well, is usually the first step for our nefarious reasons... sooo... no good for us.
The recap episode only has stereo audio.
That said, if you like this show and can find this at a decent price, they do seem perfectly watchable and I would still try getting Fena if CR released it with 5.1 audio...
