We dont know when as well, but we have some hints.

Considering the way the OSTs were released in Madoka Magica which also had its episodes released in DVD/BD vols, it will probably release along with one of SAO's BD/DVDs and the official site http://www.swordart-online.net/package/privilege.html says there will be 7 vols ("・Blu-ray＆DVD7〜最終巻連動購入特典　図書カード "), while till now have been announced 3. [we are waiting for vol #4 to be hosted today at the website, since its 1 vol per 3 eps apart from vol 1 which had only 2 eps]

Yuki Kajiura in day 3 of Live vol9, when they performed "M33 of SAO" said that she puts titles to the soundtrack music when its about to get released, which means that its still far from release.

Last hope (if it doesnt get released in DVD/BD), would be a standalone release, something that's pretty rare the resent years, when it comes to Sony/Aniplex sponsored anime.
 
3 volumes and they finally decide to release OST1 in the 4th pack? 4 months waiting for first soundtrack CD to be included like another character song? Is this necessary? [Ok, yes, this is Aniplex] And OST2, when? In the last volume, I bet. Damn it...

Since every volume comes out 1 month after the previous one, we can estimate that the last volume & OST II will be released on April 20-30 :uh..:
 
Yay! Finally. But I am so glad it doesn't get released until january since it is so much. Ugh. I will still be hurting a little from the F/Z set this week.
 
For episode 11, there wasnt any new musics I think apart from the one with the viola that plays when Asuna and Kirito go to sleep (I watched the raw since i know what's happening from the novel) basically all pieceful musics of the OST played on this one.

how she can pronounce more difficult words properly but not the names of the two :XD:

Yay. Some news of the soundtrack! :sohappy: but why the long wait? :uh..:

Random thought #1: they actually decided to cut Morning Dew Girl into two parts. That made me suprised considering how rushed this anime feels...

Random thought #2: Even though the song isn't new this thought came up now: That song with the drums that is played in the end of the latest episode sounded very much like something from the F/Z OST... I don't like that. More diversity please :uh..:
 
@random thought 1: Well, the novel is quite big, so if they had to include absolutely everything that's into it it would take them double the episodes. I think its ok that they don't cut from actual events of the novel but only from fights.
The reason why they split this one in 2 is because Yui becomes key character later on, and because they couldn't possibly fit everything that's in that chapter in just 1 episode, withought skipping important parts.

@random thought 2: (you mean ep 11 right?) Not really, the same music could fit to a dozen of anime, of example, Tsubasa, Mai-Hime, Madlax, its tension music after all.
 
Still, more fights means more epic battle music :ohoho: nah j/k, you're right even though I love that kind of battle music

Is that in one the later novels, or am I just that forgetful? I Should go read the rest of them :XD:

#2: Yepp.. It's just that I listened to it and then listened to some tracks from the F/Z soundtrack and though "These tracks could've been on the same cd and no one would have noticed". It's just tension music, but I don't remember hearing as much of it in her earlier works, like the ones you mention...

But dont forget that some of the earlier works have a loads of unreleased music too (esp Madlax and Tsubasa) so maybe they were just excluding them, while we never had unreleased music from Sony anime yet ^^
 
Yeah, I don't think those songs has as much in common as the songs from F/Z and SAO. But I'm having a hard time figuring out why so I'll just drop that thought I had. It's not important since It's just tension music after all :)


I would actually prefer if they would keep excluding those tracks. They don't add anything to the soundtrack and are just annoying... but that's just my whining opinion :XD:

If Kajiura will be involved in the music composition for the themes, it's very likely it will be for Haruna only. Chances are very low for Aoi Eir mostly due to her different singing and song styles. Since Aoi Eir is performing the OP, her song most likely will take after AURORA or something similar to LiSA's songs. :ayashii:
 
It could be that they're going to have the music from SAO in one volume and then the music from ALO in another volume. The two arcs are rather different so they could have entirely different music. At least that would be my guess.
 
^ that's what I hope for too! (but the possibility is kind of small) since she will have to compose another set of tracks for GGO too (I guess its music will be close to Noir-Madlax-Elcazador (aka girls with guns) :XD:

Also I think they mixed up the HP bars of Asuna and Kirito, judging by Asuna's expression his bar should had been lower than hers or something XD)
