I'm not familiar with game terms, I'm learning from this anime.

Because I read the novel (and Im now at the 5 volume) I can explain you some:

HP (Hit Points) = Is the energy one has. In Aincrad (the world they are now) if this goes to zero the character dies without resurrection and the NervGear also kills the user's brain with microwaves.

Party = A small group of players that have decided to work as a group (usually games have parties of 4-5 players, but I guess that in MMO its more)

Switch = According to the novel, its a system where you can switch to attack mode with your same-party ally, so if they are 2 in a party and one attacks for the othe to attack too the first needs to say "switch'

Boss = The usually most powerful monster in each floor, once players defeat it they can advance to the next floor.

well that's all for now I guess. ^^

I actually saved this on my notepad. :XD: Thanks George :chuu: By the way, what does GP mean? You know, when they're going to the Hill of Memories, he told Silica if she could give him her GP.

So SWITCH is like TAG (Tekken Tag), also in a party, do they share the items and points that they get on a quest?

Re: Re:

I thunk that depends on the agreement between the players before each battle, as it was shown in the second episode.

I think G means Gauge or Guard, he gave her some items that increased her stats so I guess that it was that.

I think items can be arranged, but the last person to hit the monster and kill it is the one that gets the exp points.

Okie, got that,. EXP is like life points right, the one that determines the level?

/I sound so dumb

Just read the whole 5 pages to keep up :@_@:
I see everyone has many questions about SAO, which means the seires is good :ayashii:
The ep's music tracks are good, but I didn't have time to watch the eps thoroughly (I watched 1 ep in about 5 mins O_o b/c if I watch too long, my parents will come and complain ...), so no comment.

Btw, I have a few thing to add. Well, ep 3 and 4 are from SAO novel vol 2, not sth the director made up. And ep 2 is from Aria in the Starless Night, a SAO side story. Also, from what I read in the novel, the person who hits the monster more gets more exp. Same thing goes for items. One who gave the last hit may get special items and more exp, though. Next ep is a story from vol 8.

@murrue: u should really read SAO novel b/c, especially Aria in the Starless Night, since it provides good definitions for many terms from SAO :)

Hopefully I didn't misread the title. The next ep is said to be "A crime within the walls", which sounds like "A Murder Case in the Area" (Aincrad 57th floor, April 2024) (SAO Side Story of vol 8). It's gonna come out tomorrow or tonight :stars:

The raw of ep 5 is out http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=338423 :sohappy:

The 2nd DVD/BD containing eps 3-5 is announced, still no word on OST yet, however there will be a CD with character songs.

[EDIT] That director sure is strange, he half half the episode without BGM :uh..: But I have on thing to say: I love the scary piano tracks of Yuki in this series :dote: Also I noticed that the SFX/atmosphere tracks in this series are alot different type-wise than the ones from KnK Madoka or Fate/Zero, which is a very good thing.

Besides, I wonder if the current SAO will include events from other volumes of the novel too since only the first 2 volumes are Aincrad related, and there are lots of events to cover on it, or there will be second season. IMO, squeezing into only 25 episodes 10 volumes of novel would destroy the magic of the story.

Im thinking that maybe since the series is 25 episodes they are either going to release the OST along with one of the next 2 BD/DVDs or it will be bundled in a BD Box like in F/Z that if they dont announce standalone OST.

[EDIT]
From the UTW post
With all these ass shots they’re giving us, http://arinashi.com/img/4g4i9zyq.jpg they might as well call this show Nice Butts Online.

:XD:

^lol my brother was pointing out all the butt shots, since he really likes Asuna.

And I did like the new music. Some was calm and peaceful while others where just the sound effects like in KnK. But I don't know, the plot in this episode seemed kind of weird. It was like they were making such a big deal about it and it was so dramatic. They needed to put more music in it I think, but it's all kind of silly to me right now.

Thanks George.

@wormbook22: I might read it, if I find the time. ^_^

@murrue: ok :)
Watched ep 5 in 3 mins ... Couldn't bear to watch again ... Dunno about the music, since I skipped too fast, but the story was too weird. They cut many important parts ... And although the lack of soundtracks in the ep created tension, which was kinda important, it made things more dramatic and less serious than how it should be. It may still look ok, even cool, to many ppl, but I don't like how they try to speed the story up to leave a climax at the end of the ep --> ppl become curious and watch the next ep. Not that cutting that much is bad though, since they are allowed to use only 12->16 eps (don't remember the exact number) for SAO and the rest for ALO (maybe GGO too), so they need to attract viewers and get their money back ... But I still prefer a full story ... And what's with all the butt shots????????????? :uh..:

Hopefully there will be a remake (with YK's music of course :psst:) of this if most of the eps after this one are really good (this is possible since FMA and GS did get a remake :D). For now I'll still watch the series and hope for a remake. And if I'm in a good mood again, I'll rewatch ep 5 to hear the music :)
