Ok, so...
the plot is now officially sci-fi, with "magic" being some kind of alien technology. No devils in sight, although how aliens and devils may correlate is eternal YMMV :ohoho:
Kyuubey started to refer to himself in plural as well - could it be a kind of collective mind? :white: for species like that, it's indeed incomprehensible how the loss of one person can mean something with the population of 7 billion. Technically all he says sounds true and connected to what he said earlier.

@ Nick:
Actually his sin was that he didnt said the WHOLE TRUTH to them before telling them to become PM, if they knew that the only purpose for them to turn into pm was to trun into witches and then energy for the Kyubey-civilasation, they wouldnt accept no matter what. That;s why he presended the whole thing to them at first as "happy magical girls fight together witches and then de-dark their soul gems". :glasses:

And god how many copies of Kyuubey are there out there? Like this its impossible to kill that cannibal. :uh..:

Just noticed something. http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/2931 ... inpmmm.jpg < In the battle scene it was shown for a sec this person. Isnt he Sayaka's boyfriend? What is he doing there ? He's there too http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/261/ ... npmmm2.jpg :ayashii:

seems like we're not talking copies here, we're talking a RACE. And if we go for a kill, instead of "barbecue" a "war of the worlds" would be a more precise term. :ohoho: And even blaming them for half-truth will fall on deaf ears - their concept of truth and dealing with it may be drastically different from ours. From our point of view (and I voiced it above) it doesn't redeem their methods; the problem is, it's obviously not THEIR point of view. :bloodlust: Besides, they don't even claim to coax people into cooperation - come to think of it, I don't remember Kyuubey saying a word about Puella Magi being a heroical saviour of people. Rather, it was Mami who came up with that view of life, and shared it with Madoka and Sayaka.
So you can kill as many Kyuubeys as you want, but more will come and continue their labour. Really now, I feel like I'm watching something based on a book by Strugatsky Bros :ohoho: They liked to raise such kinds of problems.

In the battle scene it was shown for a sec this person. Isnt he Sayaka's boyfriend? What is he doing there ?

I thought it was just one more shard of Sayaka's memory? :confu: The maze is full of them,
although the witch apparently liked the train wheels from her birthspot so much she inluded them into the main menu... and wtf, a FISH TAIL? I couldn't make it up if I tried. :ohoho:
Like I said, so far the most disturbing thing about the witch is that we don't know how much Sayaka she had left in it, if any. Depending on the answer, it may just make Kyoko's sacrifice all the more tragic.

He had said "I have many bodies" in the precvious episode so we talk about copies. Can you comment on the screenshot I got ?

My ability to react has been reduced to OMG NOO SAYAKA OMG NOO KYOKO WHY????? :comeback: :wai:

Okay, that was kind of a lie, I just have a bit more to say. I really loved Kyoko's turnaround. I hated her when she first appeared but now I think she's amazing. To willingly give up her own life at the slim chance of saving someone who didn't even like her...*sobsobsob*

And the music that played in Sayaka's barrier was awesome. Maybe they really have been holding out on us and are going to bring out the big musical guns from now on.

and I got pissed every time Kyuubey opened his mouth.

erm... are we watching the same series? :XD:

Okay, fair point. When his voice was heard onscreen. :XD:

I think trains played a big part in Sayaka-witch's world because she emotionally snapped on one (remember that she approached a man about him mistreating his girlfriend, and then something dark engulfed her). :hide:

As for the fish tail... someone theorized on another forum that Sayaka is similar to the Little Mermaid in that she gave everything up for love, and that tail represents Sayaka's sacrifices and how much she sacrificed for an ungrateful knobhead Kamijo.

My own reasoning about the fish tail: The theme of bubbles and water seemed to play a big part in Sayaka's downward spiral. When she was spying on Hitomi and Kamijo, Sayaka seemed to be floating in a blue background with bubbles around her. Maybe that explained how she felt at the time, like she was underwater and drowning. Also, when she shows Kyouko her Soul Gem (in the final scene before she becomes a witch ) it's clear that Sayaka's Gem is heavy with water (representative of her sorrow and tears, I think), and it's that single teardrop that sends her over the edge.

My theory is that the teardrop (product of her body which is just empty container in PMs) reacted with the soulgem which was made out of her soul.

Watched the latest episode. I loved the song in the beginning. There seemed to be more new songs, which made me happy. And I think Yuki must have had something to do with all those chairs in Madoka's room, since she seems to be a fan of them. lol

These Imageshack images are pissing me off... Do I really need to register there to see them?

Geez the people who created the Madoka series are geniuses.

Now that I watch that scene again, the Little Mermaid parallel is kind of true, now that I think about it. There's the mermaid tail and the head is a heart with daggers pierced through it.

And the string orchestra in the witch world undoubtedly is related to Kamijo.

About Kamijo. We don't know how exactly he feels towards Sayaka. From what we've seen he apparently hasn't noticed her feelings and their interactive scenes were few. He had no clue, if he did then I figure he would have been grateful. But that's just my wishful thinking. :/

KYOKO―
She was trying to be Sayaka's friend and help her until the very end. :comeback:

And damn you Kyuubey. :voodoo:
I wonder if we'll ever see him with a different facial expression. >_>

Uh... wasn't the pre-OP track the same one as in the EP3 battle?

Yes, its the same (just checked it). It was just that they had so many episodes to use it that we didnt noticed :XD: In contrary with the Eri track :uh..: -which I bet is the theme for Madoka because its always playing when she talked with either Kyuubey, Mami, Homura or Sayaka)

I think the Eri track is more likely something reserved for deeper discussion. A bit like the background music for chess-playing, if you will.

Re: Re:

Wow..it seems that the person to whom Kyouko acted like in the fanart someone posted before is Homura instead of Kamijou..lol. You can blame me if you're Sayaka's fan..I like her witch barrier...and also the bgm..lol. (I also like Gertrude's one..lol.) The scene that Kyubey appeared in this epi for the first time is..really creepy..:OMG:..

So..Kyubey is an alien...wow..not a big surprise after all...then..because people in their culture don't have emotion...Kyubey is a heartless creature as he is..

And then.... Kyouko...TT^TT....no Magia as the ending..T^T..but I think it's too energetic to play after Kyouko..was....TT^TT.....OMG....

The first time I saw her witch barrier, I think of a scene in Clamp's X. (It's in Manga) The main character who's a dream forecaster or sth. like that met her dead mother in her dream and her mom became a mermaid, swimming in the sea of tears (the idea of the sea of tears has already been existed in Alice in the Wonderland.) I accepted that the idea of the little mermaid is so proper with Sayaka's story. But the coincidence with Clamp's idea made me think that there may be another link between the mermaid&the sea of tears that we didn't know..a kind of an ancient mythology in Japan or other country...lol...(It's just my guess.)

They also used it when Sayaka talked with Kyubey and Sayaka talking with Kyouko. And the instrumental version (not the bell one) are quite related to Sayaka.. I think it should be a theme for the whole story or for the magical girls..

They used it... A LOT. There is no point to it. It's just an overused, repetitive BGM.

Sorry for Sayaka fans, but honestly I disliked Sayaka from the start to the end. I admit that I pitied her a bit, but still, I disliked her at the same time. Maybe it's partly because Homura is my favorite character in this anime.
Sakura..kinda liked the character. Pity that she died while trying to save someone like Sayaka. :uh..:
BTW the snack Sakura gives to Madoka is originally a snack with Doraemon on it, though the anime parodied it and expressed it as a green something with no hair. The snack is quite good to eat XD

Lol, I thought of the same thing here.

Imho,Eri's track (which I'm betting to be named "Puella Magi" :XD:) is abused slightly more than Salva Nos back in Noir days. :psst: but I'm apparently the only one here who's alright about its repetitions, so it's no use arguing. :XD:
No offence taken from Homura fans, her popularity is damn well predictable. :idol: I like her too, it's just that I turned my attention to Sayaka since her very first CM. Senjougaharas with heavy weaponry are WIN, but energetic knight girls are EPIC WIN. :XD: Alas, this one found herself in the wrong series... But her arc is nothing short of being a cornerstone for the series' concept; Urobuchi himself stated her importance (and Chiwa Saitou, our Homerun's voice, initially wanted to voice Sayaka :groucho:).
It's actually disturbing that out of all the girls, Mami seems to be the LUCKIEST. :ghost:
I also have disturbing thoughts about Homura, but I'll get old typing them on the phone keyboard. :XD:
As to the ending, I expect it to be back in ep 10, with notably edited sillhouettes. :plot:

I'm alright with all the repetition. People are paying waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much attention to the soundtrack.

Yes because that's a site about the soundtrack's composer :D Also, less BGM repetition = more tracks on the soundtrack.
