I agree on everyone's guess about Sayaka fate... and what I wonder is whether the magical girl that Mami mentioned when Sayaka asked her about this will appear in the series or not... Wanna know what happened to her and how she is..now... :plot: .

I think connect represents the cute part we tough we would have with a magical girl like anime and Magia is what we will have really

Also, the OP features a pretty traditional Girly Run, while the ED... seems to deconstruct it. :ohoho:

(seriously the one who thought about mixing a magical girl with the Saya no uta guy is a genius)

As far as I heard, it was the producer. Who had previously worked with Shinbo on Bakemonogatari. :ayashii:

(and could see all he wanted Nanoha taking baths and changing clothes all he wanted

to his credit, he did seem awfully embarassed by such prospects. :XD:

but I quess that's exprected since Mashimo's anime were always so boring

AFAIK, Shinbo's style is not liked by everyone either. But he is one director you CAN'T ignore. :groucho: Btw, what are his "activities on 2ch" the blogger mentions? :confu:

and I'm just staring at my computer screen with my jaw still hanging open.

Like this, I presume? :XD:
I also watched episode 3 after reading spoilers on AS, but the impact was none the weaker for me. And I really miss Mami... :comeback:
I just hope that Urobuchi refrains from further massacre. Especially Sayaka :omg: You can get her through as many trials as you want, but at least leave her alive, G.B.! :anger:

Very nice and well placed black out between her last two sentences at the end there.

Now I feel left out. That Youtube part was clipped. :blood: :wai:

Her rashness is understandable (though I think her crush was just being a self pitying asshole)

Maybe not in general. People in situations like his tend to go understandably desperate. For all we know, he might have been regretting what he told Sayaka the moment she left.
As to recognition... I wonder if he can add two plus two regarding this situation. :ayashii: :plot:

Absurd, what's with episode 5 sudden end?? Totally abrupt! :S
And Madoka is still "human"... Really boring this nonsense-episode. 12?? 300 episodes to get the target of the story.
:uh..: Please, Yuki, never more... *crying*

What's with Yuki? If there was that Eri's track again, I'm honestly alright with that. :tea: (besides, I doubt the composer is the one to decide how many times one or another track will be used).
You'll get your new tracks, guys, I'm positive. We haven't heard as many as to compile an ost. Although it already promises between four and six awesome pieces, which is quite considerable.

Episode 5 Raw out! http://say-move.org/comeplay.php?comeid=122910 :sohappy:

[EDIT] My impression:
True that end was TOO sudden, as if the PC of the person who was finaliseing the episode broke :XD:

Hey dont you think that the fact that the new girl's colours and the ones of Kyuubey are the same is suspicious ? :glasses:

Hm it seems like this episode had only 1 new music :uh..: which as far as I heard was instrumental version of the Eri track (which played agian before that :XD: )

Also the battle music during the fight of the 2 PM was too much like "complications" from the first RHH OST :blood: and totally unfitting imo.

All in all didnt found that episode boring but was kinda expectable as what would happen in it.

Also who was that girl that in the previous said "kona no zettai okashi yo" It didnt sound like Madoka neither any of the other girls :S

The problem is not the OST, but that they use the same tracks over and over again without using the other new tracks Yuki has (surely) provided them with. Like Nick said there havent be used enough tracks yet for forming a soundtrack so we can expect new ones to appear.

Is it just me Sayaka's egg doesn't shine ?? :confu: the melody Kyosuke played sounded similar to SMAP's Ave Maria :XD: *is shot* What an sudden end. They will stop the fight, I guess? :ayashii: And once more, Kyuubey failed to convert Madoka into Mahou Shoujo again :XD:

Woot, ep 5 subs are out!

That stupid Kyuube, I bet one reason why he didn't stop Kyoko from wanting to destroy Sayaka was because he thought he could force Madoka into making a contract with him. I don't like his manipulative manner and I still hate the way his expression never changes, regardless of what is going on.

And Madoka was so useless because she didn't have powers- she would have been doing Sayaka a favor by NOT going on the hunt. That would been one less worry on Sayaka's mind, when she already had the burden of killing her first witch on her own. Plus, Madoka spending time with Kyuube gives him more opportunities to press his "Become A Magical Girl" mantra on her, when she already decided she didn't want to be one. She's screwing herself over because if she continues to follow Sayaka and Kyuube around there'll be a point when she can do nothing BUT become an MG.

I really like the voices of Homura and Kyoko. I know Kyoko's mean and self-serving and all that, but she's such a strong, kickass character. I know some people thought this episode was boring or useless, but personally I liked it (besides the lack of new music). I heard the Eri track again.... hopefully next week there'll be some new songs.

The ost is what they play on the show. :P

But the main themes of a one-cour show are usually packed in a 80 min CD. And the whole show, OPs/EDs apart, is roughly FOUR HOURS. So you either get all this new music in portions... or you get a load of it in the first 3-5 episodes and THEN you are left to complain that they are repeating themselves. Tercium non datur. :ohoho:
And while Shinbo-san seems to give Yuki relative freedom of creation, he's still NOT Koichi Mashimo who basically builds whole scenes and episodes as slideshows plot-based videos to her music. So while the ost is what they play on the show, the way they choose to play it may vary immencely.

Does anyone have a low quality version of the hardsub? Youtube is being a troll again, and the prospect of pulling another 200+ Mb from MySpace is making me quote Nozomu Itoshiki... :vortex:

Why do you hate Mashimo? I don't mind who's director; I really loved ALL anime soundtracks by Bee Train so... I prefer Mashimo. So far Madoka Magica is the most FFFFUUU anime I saw with Kajiura's music. I don't know why SHAFT doesn't remove instruments and/or vocals. XEBEC played Crush a bunch of times, it was edited almost always; RHH does it too. This is a good factor.
But about the music I only can say: Kajiura composed better music in the past :D

Don't misunderstand: despite being constantly ironic to some features of his style, I'm positive towards him. Tsubasa Chronicle did touch the right strings in me, after all, and I liked Noir and .hack//SIGN, too. Although similar to how you prefer Yuki's older works, I feel that his best work has long been made (yep, I'm talking of Captain Tylor here). :XD: It had the drive his Bee Train Works tend to lack, although they do feature quality drama (and that's the best thing about them... second only to the OSTs Yuki wrote for them).

As to your claim about Yuki's music, there's still only one explanation I can give and repeat: she had more freedom in the past. I remember she said something like that in an interview - while other directors had her write music to fit the animation (as things usually go), Mashimo would take her music and fit the animation to it. Yuki's BT works are close enough to being her actual albums, IMHO (more so if you recall that her official album, Fiction, featured more than a couple of songs from these Noir and .hack//SIGN). And in my previous post I was rather nostalgic about it. :XD:
On the other hand, MY pure IMHO still considers some other OSTs (Petite Cossette, both Xenosagas, RHH) as being at the same level as her BT works. And - mind you, pure IMHO again - I have an impression that Madoka will share their ranking, or come close to it in the very least. So I don't worry too much about how the tracks are featured in the OST, provided I'll get to hear them in full glory when the OST is out. If I "survived" [sarcasm mode] Tsubasa Chronicle 2nd (which had some grand examples of neglecting and misplacing Yuki's music), I'll "survive" anything. :tea: :XD: :XD:

So, wondering why SHAFT doesn't remove vocals or instruments... Maybe they just don't feel like it? :ohoho:

Kara no Kyoukai has an interesting music (2007-2009), that's not old and that's 1% of freedom. I also found treasures in RHH OST.

That's nice for the composer's fans, isn't it?

I'm pretty sad with the contract between Yuki and SHAFT. Sorry but she deserves something better.
