This episode has so much despair. Madoka cries half of the episode because of Mami's death. Madoka and Homura meet and talk. Sayaka due to a a thing his boyfriend said (I think it was that he's sick of listening to music because what he wants is his hand to be healled and that not even magic would heal it) so madoka tells him the title of the episode (Magic and Miracles exist) and becomes magical girl. Madoka finds her friend - the one who thought her and sayaka are lesbians- having a witch kiss and she follows her until a building where other kissed people gather and prepare to die by pooring water to chlorine in a bin. Madoka throws the bin out of the window, so the zombie movement people start chasing her. Madoka manages to get locked in a room but then the witch gets her into her barrier. The toy things turture madoka while Mami is shown in TV screens. Saya arrives transformed and saves Madoka. Then Homura sees her and looks to be angry that she became mahou shoujo. Then a scene with the new girl appears evil plotting together with Kyuubey (sounds veery fishy )

Very interesting episode overall . Cant wait for more, and lets hope the next episode will have some more and good new music (hopes for battle theme or some new transformation music)

It seems that what happens is that Kyuubey grants wishes right away in exchange to the girl that become mahou shoujo, because after Sayama saved Madoka it shows her boyfriend to be looking at his hand surprised while moving it because it was healed

Madoka becomes a PM only within the last 5 eps of the season to help Homura. In turn, Homura mentors Madoka. They will lose Sayaka and Mami (again) later in this season. The season will climax and end with Madoka defeating her first witch.

This will probably lead up to a season 2, depending on fan demand.

Of course, let's not hope that the manga will develop faster than the anime and spoil it all (esp. my take above) for us.

I am very frustrated with the OST. PLEASE HAVE MORE TRACKS. That Eri track is seriously working on my nerves already, not only it is very repetitive in itself but it's also in every episode since 2.

You must have had a hard time watching Noir and Tsubasa, I imagine.
I don't expect a bunch of tracks in EVERY episode, and even if there were plenty, don't forget this is a one-cour show, most likely getting one OST. The more tracks we hear, the more annoyed we'll feel for them to be eventually left out (unless they manage to pack several dozens there like with RHH OST ). And the aforementioned track is a pure knockout for me, I don't mind listening to it over and over again.

His sister may be still a kid... but then again, letting your little sister watch a SHAFT show is even weirder. Even Pani Poni Dash is IMHO miles away from being a children's show, and here we have Urobuchi to boot.
Does he not care, or was he MAJORLY tricked by the character designs?

(and if his sister is NOT a kid, but a teenager... then he probably should pay more attentions to HER problems and things that trouble her).

Sure like to assume and treat me like I only started watching animu/listening to Kajiura now.

I think they are doing a crap job with this EriBGM - couldn't they at least use an instrumental version instead every other time? Also I'm not sure if I like the places it's getting used at either.

It didn't bother me as much in Noir, I guess, it had plenty of BGMs and they weren't as repetetive as this Eri track. I mean, seriously, are we comparing Salva Nos/canta per me to this one? Now the musicbox Melody, yea, it was fucking annoying after a while. Especially since there was nothing else happening in the show while it was playing.

Tsubasa was just crap so I didn't watch much of it.

A new instrumental cello bgm..^ ^..it's sad and beautiful... I think a mysterious track during the appearance of the new magical girl is so cool, too. I think it's a new one but I'm not sure...

I don't think so...according to her conversation with Homura that Madoka's kindness will bring her in trouble.. I think it implies that her kindness will force her to be a magical girl soon.., maybe about epi 8-10... or earlier... And I suspect that Sakura appearance may lead Madoka to be a magical girl.. She aimed to attack Sayaka and I don't think Homura will help her... so..maybe only the girl with high potential in being magical girl like Madoka must do that..to save her friend..

BTW...from the first epi. til now..it seems that Homura is a kind of people who know some destined future.., right..? It may be a part of her magical power that the other girls don't have.

Well, there was the same story with A Song of Storm and Fire. Which, along with its variations, was used A LOT. Since Tsubasa was my first Kajiura-related anime, I guess I just got used to this.

Possibly? I never watched that anime, though (apart from googling for snippets now that you've mentioned).
