the booklet doesn't list any vocalists in Pugna cum Maga... :confu:

Same timbre and texture as a certain Fion, though. :plot:

And....Fion have always been known to be a ghost singer when published under SMEJ. :psst:

Her home label under Flying Dog is JVC, iirc. So...

Actually, in SMEJ works like Kalafina's songs, Yuki herself was usually credited for chorus and such. What's weird is that there is NO vocalist mentioned whatsoever, as if it was an instrumental or a sample-driven track like Gradus Prohibitus. But you don't think there are Kajiuran sample banks out there, do you? :plot: And I, too, am pretty sure it's Fion. Upon clear listening, this is definitely not Eri, and I doubt I've EVER heard Yuriko sing this way. Although TBH, Yuriko is credited for Magia chorus and I'm still scratching my head at this when I listen to the song. :XD:

@Nick:
-off topic- Yuriko was indeed in Magia. Try listen harder and you'll notice her voice. For the early Yehehe part, I once said it was Wakana and Keiko, didn't I? Yuriko was there, too, on higher register than Wakana. And then the chorus. The higher register on "Obieru kono te" etc part was done by Yuriko. Wakana was only "Tayoru Subete" etc part. :glasses:

-on topic-
Pugna cum maga is SOOOOOO Fion :XD: :psst: if you need comparison, try FJKeiko's synchronicity :psst:

That's the best example and proof.
Fion is the maga :glower:

gosh, yuki... either hire a fourth kalafina vocalist, let the girls sing their own parts, or stop putting yuriko in kalafina songs, please :uh..: no wonder the kalafina magia live sounded empty, and it didn't help that there's no way keiko can harmonize with herself in live performances.

-on topic-
yes, pugna cum maga sounds like fion! :dote:

EDIT: you know, this is the first yuki ost that i'm attached to, since i watched the entire anime series. when i listen to songs i remember when they were played in the show, and i feel certain emotions because of that. i'm not quite sure how to explain it, i hope people understand how i feel :XD:

Heh, I've tried to explain this feeling quite some times here but I don't think I was understood (I think...?)

^ That happens to everyone who has seen a show/played a video game and then listens to the music, its not just you :XD: *pokes the two*

Finally it comes.... Thanks elcazador... :sohappy: .

Not much things to say about Sis puella magica. I like the full version of Salve, terrae magicae. My guess for Salve, terrae magicae turns to Gradus prohibitus..really longer&clearer than in the anime..so it's fine..lol. Credens justitiam is an awesome one.. :nosebleed: .

I can't remember Clementia as well..- -. Conturbatio and Puella in somnio are also the tracks I love in the anime.. and for our Fion track....pugna cum maga..it's an awesome one..with its vocalist hiding in her barrier... :plot: .

Re:

Clementia is used in the Drama CD.

I wonder why Kajiura hides Fion this time :plot:
Maybe...
1. Unveiled Mistery, we know who is Fion. It's no funny anymore :P
2. She forgot credit herself :O
3. SME's mobbing, lol
4. It's Yuki Kajiura.

Oh, talking about Fion, I'm listening to Circus :plot:

I'm still confused by those Latin titles :spotlight:

And I still love Puella in Somnio :sohappy: I think the reason why I love it so much is because it's a lot like First Meeting from the Xenosaga II OST, but without piano, violin, and other conventional instruments. It's completely surreal and fantasy-sounding since it's all synth :sohappy:

^ or Open Your Box and Saints, these tracks actually feature Fion in both singing modes. :ayashii:
pugna cum maga is no doubt Fion.it's the same singing style in madlax ost.why is it that her name is not on the credits (?) hmmm.maybe she's just too humble, she doesn't consider herself a singer right (?) :ohoho:

i think it's okie for yuriko joining the kalafina chorus (she's splendid) :sohappy:

I don't. That makes Kalafina's live imperfect. :blood:

I can't get tired of Credens justitiam.

I was hoping that the BGM for Charlotte and or Elly would've been on the first soundtrack. :uh..:

The official site just says that the next DVDs/Blu-rays come with a "Special CD". I want to hear Oktavia's theme the most~

I don't expect OST 2 witn Vol 3, but I really hope it will be bundled with Vol 4. :plz:
But IIRC, Elly's barrier featured Gradus Prohibitus (apparently the main barrier theme :XD: ). But I'll chechk it out again to be sure.

Checked Elly's barrier, it is indeed "Homura vs Charlotte", Gradus Prohibitus sounded before that. :XD:

So, judging by the episode breakdown the wikis offer, we can be looking forward to the following tracks:

- the piano melody based on Puella in Somnio (first ap. in episode 2, around 13:00)
- Witch battle track 1 (Mami vs Charlotte, also notable in ep 9)
- Witch battle track 2 (Homura vs Charlotte, also Sayaka vs Elly and Sayaka vs Kyouko)
- Sayaka-related cello theme (first ap. at the beginning of ep 4, most heart-wrenchingly notable during Sayka's... Sayaka's... in ep 11, to be short  ) [I tend to confuse cellos and violas, so feel free to correct this :XD: ]
- sad piano track, Puella Wiki dubs it "Madoka's Grief" (first ap. in episode 4, also notable in episodes 7 (Madoka/Sayaka talk) and 9 (Madoka/Kyouko talk right before Terror Adhaerens)).
- Sayaka's theme, the Wiki lists it as the arrangement of Conturbatio, but these very guys separated two versions of Puella in Somnio, so don't ask me about their logic. :ohoho: This track debuts in ep 5 (with the highly notable reprise in ep 7), later than Conturbatio, but I'm really inclined to consider it the primary version. :sparkleguy:
- The "Food Chain" cello-based theme, debuts in ep 5, reprised in eps 7 and 8
- the melody during Madoka/Junko talk in ep 6 (btw, Clementia plays right after it :plot: )
- the Soul Gem theme from ep 6
- the quiet bell rendition of Sis Puella Magica (episode 7, also in the most tearjerking scene of ep 10 and at the start of ep 11)
- Kyouko's theme accompanying her backstory (although it also plays in ep 11 during Junko/Kazuko talk)
- full instrumental rendition of Sis Puella Magica, ep 7 at the end of Sayaka/Kyouko talk in the church
- the suspense track during Sayaka/Homura talk (ep 8)
- Octavia's theme from ep 9
- Badass Homura theme... er, I mean the track that accompanies Homura in TL4 (ep 10) :XD:
- Walpurgis Night theme (ep 11)
- the pensive strings-based theme in ep 11 (basically "Homura losing hope")
- the grand "Becoming Hope" theme in ep 12
- the "end of the world" track right after it (and before Madoka Gambit really comes into play :ohoho: )
- the piano melody during Homura/Junko talk (ep 12)
- the finale accompanying Homura/Kyuubey talk (ep 12) Ultimate Badass Homura theme, if you like :psst:
- and... what else? Ah, the piano track from the CMs, hopefully they'll release it.

It sums up to 22 tracks. A delicious list, but enough to make one nervous: 13 tracks against 22? And if such an uneven split-up is not in Sony's plans, we may end up with unreleased tracks. :white:
Of course, there's another idea: we get four more tracks in the upcoming CD dramas which adds up to 26 tracks... further split into OST 2 and OST 3 :ohoho: :ohoho: :ohoho: Sounds interesting, although rather trolling (and in that case we're SO not getting WN theme and "Becoming Hope" theme until September, I'm afraid :omg: ).
