lol @ the KnK Comment :XD:

Touko - "Araya, what do you seek?"

Araya - "True slamming."

Touko - "Araya, where do you seek it?"

Araya - "Only within myself."

Touko - "Araya, where are you trying to reach?"

Araya - "That's obvious. To the end of this paradox spiral of a b-ball court."

I noticed it on OST2 already... why do they credit everything (but Connect) to Kajiura?

I'd say they probably completely missed it. Like they missed "Management Stuff" on the very first credits page... :ohoho:

Uh, it says "All Songs written by" her and that's a lie. Lying's not cool. =P

Probably a mistake from them :P

They should have put "except" part.

kuSONY is kuSONY afterall

Nux Walpurgis - so trollish considering we expected Surgam Identidem to have this title. A masterpiece most clearly outlining Homura's tragedy. And you may laugh, but THIS track is actually where I can compare the mood to The Lion King OST. Check out the final part of "To die for" (the post-stampede scene in the movie) for reference.
lol..Nick, surprisingly, I thought of Star Wars Epi.3. The song has the mood of 'the falling of some great thing.'

Numquam vincar: Like it, but too messy-sounding for me to love it.

La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin: I think it's lovely :shy: I find it pretty and I enjoy the changes in style and pace.

Connect -video game version- : HAHA. Amused.

Overall Madoka music: A few good moments, but I wouldn't say I loved the OSTs. Didn't help that the show disappointed me and I feel like the songs weren't utilized to their top potential.

My favorites are Pugna cum maga (the "Badass Yakuza Weapon-stealing Homura" song) and Gradus prohibitus (the "Let's Bust Through the Witch Barrier and Ruin Her Day" song).

I wish there was more Fion :TdT:

Numquam vincar-Liking this one more now with more listens. Did not at first, although I did like the violin but not the drums. It seemed like some of the KnK faster tracks. I do like the name. heh

Quamobrem?-Love this piano tune. It’s sad, and also reminds me of KnK. The title is interesting. I was thinking of a faster song, but I like the only piano tracks a lot.

Cor destructum- Kind of a boring one. Although creepy at the same time.

Surgam identidem- Ah, one of the faster songs I was looking forward to. I love the vocals, and it reminds me of My Hime. One of the best I think. The drums also remind me of Historia (forced march for example).

Confessio-Really like the melody of this one too. It does remind me of the Noir, slower songs. It’s a nice and relaxing song. Kind of like in a limestone cave as well.

Sagitta luminis-So sad! I almost started crying during this song. Kind of like paradise regained. Love it, one of my favorites too.

Nux Walpurgis- Another great fight song. Love the vocals again. (I never really cared for opera but Yuki’s operas are always great heh)

Cubilulum album- Another kind of boring and creepy one. Very KnK like.

Taenia memoriae- A sad piano song again. I like it, but not as much as Sagitta luminis.

La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin- I did not hear the original before hearing this version, but I like it. The violin is very pretty.

Symposium magarum- Love the violin in this too, reminds me of some of the songs my violin teacher would give me. Gives you the feeling that the show or album is coming to a close.

Pergo pugnare- A lovely song. (The title sounds something like a spaghetti sauce, which the title is Latin, not Italian, but still. I was expecting something different but I like it.)

Connect -Game Instrumental-Not really much to say here.

Overall I like the soundtrack as a whole. Not loved, but there were songs that I loved, like: Salve, terrae magicae, Credens justitiam, Conturbatio, Puella in somnio, Pugna com maga, Decretum, Sis puella magica!, Venari strigas, Incertus, Serena ira, Scaena felix, Nux Walpurgis, so a lot actually. Lol I think it’s an okay soundtrack, I’d probably give this an 8 out of 10 as well. :dote:

Ugh finally, the FLAC version is out. Surgam identidem and Symposium magarum are the two tracks I've been waiting for the longest. Confessio was also a pleasant surprise, love the Idiophone. Also love the tone of the violin in Pergo pugnare, it's become one of my favorites.

I'm glad to see that every track got released, if only more shows would learn to do the same. Also good to hear more Kasahara, it's a shame there are not a lot of vocal tracks in this series.

It's a very common classical piece. Although I must say that it seems like Hitoshi (?) and Kajiura have definitely given it a bit of a YK "twist" to it. It's a lot more expresive in this rendition.

May not go down well with some the hardcore classical listeners, though. Some parts seemed a little off the pace as far as technicalities are concerned.

It would have been more fun if it were in 8-bit... :XD:

A bit like this... :psst:

Although the "official" version might have actually been a nod to that Nico/YT piece, though.. :psst:

^ I personally prefer this :plot:

(It would've been a much better ending than Connect, at any rate.)

Hitoshi (?)

Actually it's Kido Kiyo...for some reason her and her strings group did all the work in this OST, which includes her playing solo in the classical pieces.
