ありがとうございます Kowz!!! My impressions follow...
Decretum - I hear a little of...Conturbatio, I think it was, in the background here.
Reminds me a lot of Scarborough Fair in the strings melody. Nice arrangement.
But why the flute AGAIN??
Agmen clientum - Like the percussion...strange how the strings are synth, though. Reminds me of something that Kajiura-sensei would've written for .hack if she'd had the resources she has now.
I think I've heard the screechy background FX before somewhere
Venari strigas - Koichi-san!
And sounds like real strings this time round. Nice melody, a little like a Pokemon battle theme.
Wow, Koichi-san sounds amazing!
The bg vocals seem similar to the ones from Gradus prohibitus
Signum malum - Oh, a creepy rework of Sis Puella Magica. Reminds me of Conturbatio again, but more with the arrangement this time.
Sounds like some new bells FX instead of the usual ones...
Amicae carae meae - Very The Velveteen Rabbit-esque. A little flat...
Is that a violin or a viola? It sounds a little deep, unless that's just because of the key it's playing in...
Incertus - This is familiar but unfamiliar at the same time. I love how the piano is playing single notes without much if any left hand work...it makes it sound very light and mysterious.
And that gorgeous music box...
Inevitabilis - Hey, Puella In Somnio on the piano! Now I can finally play it myself
Not bad. I like the original version better. The way this is written, the middle part (between the Puella In Somnio melody lines) sounds almost note for note like something from the KnK OST. Right down to the ending chord...
Serena ira - Cello
Cello
Reminds me of M25 from the KnK OST, but thankfully there's a completely different melody here. Still some long pauses, though, which are a little unsettling. Love that higher bit about 1:30
Anima mala -
Very KnK again. I think there was something like this in Paradox, or one of the other earlier tracks...
Doesn't make it bad, though. It's basic Kajiura-sensei
Pugna infinita - Some KnK-esque sounds here too. I suppose it makes sense...both Madoka Magica and KnK have that hopeless feel to them, don't they?
What a tragic melody
Vocalise Op.34 no.14 - Sounds like Konno-san's style of playing to me definitely. And the piano sounds similar to the earlier piano. I'd say it's the same musicians, if not Kajiura-sensei's arrangement.
A bit of a rambling melody line, isn't it? I'm not used to classical pieces...haven't heard them in a long time since I quit learning them
The violin is gorgeous, though. If it's not Konno-san, I'll be relatively surprised
I can see why this got picked for Madoka Magica...it's sad but has a lot of tension to it at the same time.
Ave Maria - Oh, it's the Ave Maria that I THOUGHT it'd be, the one that the Celtic Women performed! Hah, after all that!
Okay, this has to be Konno-san.
I would've preferred that it was just played on the higher octave instead of playing it entirely on the low and then doing a refrain higher. It does go on slightly long. But then again, it's worth sitting through the lower octave just to get the higher one
Altogether, not bad. My favorites are Venari strigas and Incertus, I think.
