Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica OST

Darn, I won't be able to hear it till next Friday when I'm back to the city. :wai:
Pity they didn't include Octavia theme and "Badass Homura", but now we're just getting these and other remaining epics on the same day as a bunch of new songs from Kalafina. September 21 is THE date on my calendar. :sohappy: As to this OST, having Decretum, Incertus and both witch fight themes can already make my day. :stars:
I looked up the tracks at Puella Magi Wiki. Looks like:
- Serena Ira is "Sayaka's melancholy" (beginning of ep 4)
- Anima Mala accompanies Kyouko' social darwinism speech in ep 5
- Amicae Carae Meae is the first track during Madoka and Junko's converation in ep 6 (the second one was Clementia)
- Pugna Infinita that I expected to be ep 10 "Badass Homura" turns out as Soul Gem theme from ep 6.

Btw, I'm still deeply puzzled about that "Army of Clients" title. Could there be another translation? :confu:

After giving the OST another listen, Incertus is most probably my favorite song from this volume.

On second listen, Venari Strigas seems to me to be a gorgeous combination of Slipstream (the rhythm, the guitar bg) and the bridge of Fantasia (the guitar solo, the exotic chord progression). :shy:

I.E., I kept expecting to hear 'konton no uta' after the solo :plot:

I received my copy today. I'm loving it. Although probably not as much as the first. decretum and Incertus are definately favorites so far. I will have to give a full review when I can listen to it more. :sohappy:

1.Decretum -I love it. I love this version of the "theme" better I think. It does remind me of Kizuato too, maybe a bit of Fairyland as well. Love the flute and strings. Probably my favorite track.
2.Agmen clientum- It's okay, a lot like Gradus prohibitus, I like the drums.
3.Venari strigas -I like the style. Kind of Arabian in a way, in the beginning at least. It's fast paced, which isn't bad.
4.Signum malum- Another version of the theme. I like its sadness.
5.Amicae carae meae -A bit more happier, reminded me a lot of the piano tracks in Kara no Kyoukai.
6.Incertus -Love it. Probably another favorite from the series. I've always liked the bell sounds. :dote:
7.Inevitabilis -Another version of Puella in somnio, I'll still always think of Kyubey with this melody.
8.Serena ira -Another one that reminded me of KnK. Love the cello.
9.Anima mala -More cello, which I am a fan of.
10.Pugna infinita -It's okay, I like the eerie melody.
11.Vocalise Op.34 no.14 -Very pretty. Love the melody, could probably drift off to dreamland with this one. hehe
12.Ave Maria-I don't really care for Ave Maria, but I actually like this version. I probably won't listen to it very often though.

There is my small review. I didn't like it as much as the 1st OST, but there were some really good tracks on it. can't wait for the 3rd though. :shy:

Hey, I just realized...there are no vocals in this volume at all, aside from the recorded one in Venari Strigas :ayashii:

Here are the booklet scans. Thought I'd post it here since others might like to see them too, I thought they had been scanned already.
:dote:

Thank you so much!!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :dote:

could you please take a closer pic at the part with the musicians, because the kanji are barely visible.

Ah..I can't see the Kanji in Musicians part..Orz..., but it seems that the pianist isn't Yuki..:confu:...(but the letter isn't that clear...so I'm not sure about that...) Flute is by Akagi Rie, and for the other..I can't check from the Musician page coz my office computer can't see Kanji...(I know that it's Akagi Rie because her name contain..Hiragana..?)

Thanks Liana.... Ok..I compared these names with the names in here: http://canta-per-me.net/musicians/

Piano: No idea...Neither Yuki nor Sato Tatsuya (at least, the Kanji are not the same as their names.)
Flute: Akagi Rie
Guitar: Korenaga Koichi
Acoustic Guitar: I'm blank again..T___T
Percussion: Orz...
Violin: Kido Kiyo, not Konno San..O_o...surprised..!!! But I enjoy with her violin, too. Did Konno san play the violin for OST1..:confu:
Cello: Don't know
Strings: Kido Kiyo

I guess that Kido Kiyo may be more familiar with 'classic pieces' more than KonnoSan...:confu:.. Or it's because she already played for another string instruements (Viola, I guessed.) in other tracks..? Otherwise, I guess that Konno San didn't want to play the songs that played by that dude in the anime.... :knife:

My guesses after comparing with other OSTs (RHH II, Madoka I)

Piano: might be Haruki Mino
Percussion: Tamao Fujii
Cello: Horisawa Masami
