Violin: Kido Kiyo, not Konno San..O_o...surprised..!!! But I enjoy with her violin, too. Did Konno san play the violin for OST1..:confu:

Nope. There was actually no solo violin in OST1, just Kido Kiyo Strings.

After I listened to the last two songs a few more times, and compared them to some Pandora Hearts songs...I realized that it wasn't Konno-san, because the violin sounds similar to the violin in Pandora Hearts, which was Kido Kiyo :desksweat:

It's a little tough to tell at first, but if you listen to the inflections and the sound of the violin, and compare it to Konno-san's performances, I think it becomes more obvious after a while :ayashii:

Acoustic Guitar: I'm blank again..T___T

It looks as though the acoustic guitar is that '?ichirou' guy. (I know the last two kanji of his first name, but not the first one, thus '?ichirou'.) I think he's played in a lot of OSTs and such, but I can't find his name anywhere...

Kido Kiyo is the one who played the violin parts for Sprinter, I think :stars:

^ Yes, it was Kido Kiyo Strings. I've always wondered whether that stands for Kido Kiyo and her violin/viola/cello-playing group, or whether she plays all instruments :ayashii:

Interesting how the cello isn't Kasahara Ayano. I wonder if it's the person who played in the KnK OST? :confu:

KnK only mentions the participation of Kiyo Kido Strings.

^ Yup, that's the Konno-san we know and love :sohappy:

Thanks so much for the video! :dote:

EDIT

However, this certainly doesn't explain why Kajiura-sensei has never used his quartet in a concert :blood:

O thanks tsuba! someohow before this I thought that Hitoshi Konn and Kiyo Kido string was just Hitoshi's / Kido's play multiplied in the computer and was created differently just for fun :XD: But tihs sure clears things up.

Hm maybe the answer is that the other 3 request too muchj money ? :XD: :ayashii:

There is also Hitoshi Konno strings on KnK OST...

I though Hitoshi Konno strings was only restricted to violin, so I didn't mention it (since the discussion was about the cello).

Hum, I think that with time either the Kajiura shows or the Kalafina ones will have this kind of production with a quartet and such.

Did anyone upload the OST anywhere? I want to transfer it to my mp3 player :TdT:

just listened to the whole OST.i love this better than the first one i'm not saying Vol.1 was bad,but Vol.2 contains pure instrumentals and most of them are slow, classical-like music. my favorites for now are Decretum (i like this arrangement esp the strings), Venari Strigas, Amicae Carae Meae, Pugna Infinita, Ave Maria, Serena Ira and Vocalise Op.34 No.14

I'm not allowed to say i love them all right :psst:

^ Speaking of Amicae Carae Meae, I noticed something...

There seems to be a slight similarity here, at least at the beginning :ayashii:

The moods are different, but overall Amicae Carae Meae does have a Velveteen Rabbit flavour. :XD:
I've finally caught up, and as expected, my faves are Decretum (YESSSSS), Incertus, Venari Strigas and Agmen Clientum. Amicae Carae Meae and Pugna Infinita follow close behind. :dote:
To each his own, but for my personal taste and opinion, there seem to be at least 17 delicious pieces in the whole OST. Now if you consider that it's still a ONE-COUR show soundtrack (usually yielding one CD with about 20 tracks)... well, that's the math I follow when considering PMMM one of Yuki's best works. Pure IMHO, though, no debates invited. :tea:

OST3:

01. Numquam vincar (2m07s)
02. Quamobrem? (1m30s)
03. Cor destructum (1m27s)

05. Confessio (1m48s)

Re:

When was featured "La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin"? I don't recognise it... And why is Kajiura covering old songs?

Edit:
Can be La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin the music for the PVs?

Looking forward to the OST, especially #7. But why does it have to fall on the same day as Kalafina's album? I will be broke again. :XD:

Thanks for the tracklist

Well, you know my hopes...Koichi-san, Fion, and Konno-san as usual. Wonder how the 5-minute song will sound? :ayashii:

Also, what in the world is Connect doing in there? It's bad enough having classical... :bloodlust:

EDIT

Running the names through Google Translate now...

1. Never Overcome
2. Wherefore?
3. The Heart of the Destroyed (or The Heart of Destruction, at least in my opinion)
4. I Will Arise Again and Again ('From Time to Time' just doesn't fit :XD: )
5. A Confession
6. An Arrow of Light
7. Walpurgis Nut? (I guess it should be Nox, not Nux...)
8. ?? (Google seems to have a problem with this one.)
9. The Ribbon of Memory (my guess)
10. The Girl with the Flaxen Hair (just curious about this title, and now I remember that I learned to play this song a long time ago and hated it...)
11. The Feast of Witches (thanks to Nick Hunter)
12. Continue to Fight (or I Go Forth to Fight)
