I had a feeling this picture from the Live Tour Book would the be the cover for the BluRay. Really like it , and it matches the elemental theme with the closed gate, flowers etc ! All the more reason to preorder it !
 
I rather like that cover actually. It kind of reminds me of those scenes at the end of episodes of older anime where you have the protagonist standing at the front and all the villains are looming over them in shadows at the back and then it flashes to that watercolour style art before the ending credits roll.

I'm joining grunty for being a mood-killer. Heavily-edited medium close up pic of Kajiura in front of the gates + the girls standing somewhat asymmetrically pic that came from the elemental pamphlet for sure + uninspired font + unnecessary flowers edit is horrible. It's like they forced the elemental CD cover + the concert stage layout + Kajiura (on other words, literally everything) in a middle of a cramped place. It's unnecessarily full, imo. I'd rather have a cover like the live vol.2's DVD :p I'm still buying it, tho.
 
@george1234 Oh just ban me already. There's nothing "artistic" about this cover - only a terrible photoshop job. Y'all can go and try making Satan-Kajiura a meme now.
 
I never said anything about banning in here. I just wanted your opinion on why you didnt like it apart from "this is horrible".

I also dont like Kajiura having pitch black eyes but I like the idea of the girls behind the gate.
About the font, the Yuuka BD had the same so it was expeccted it would happen here too (I dont like it either)
 
The general concept of the cover is okay, at least. Since I've been a fan of Kala and FJ for a while, the change of emphasis from the vocalists to the songwriter is refreshing. Rather than the singers in the foreground like you get on a Kala video cover, Yuki herself is 'centre stage' while being surrounded by silhouettes of the FJ singers. That's a cool idea.

I think the execution of it is what doesn't work for me. It looks too obviously photoshopped and now the similarity to this emoticon: :glower: has been pointed out, I can't unsee it! It sort of looks like a rough draft rather than the end result I guess.

Miss Yuki with black eye sockets is somewhat scary:fwa:.....to the extent that I feel like adding eyes via photoshop XD I still like the idea of the gate closed the the girls behind it, I assume it's the opening sequence to elemental? It's better than throwing a montage of random photos or awkward poses or something...
 
But why had Yuki-sama to wear full eyes colour lenses? :XD:
That said, I absolutely didn't notice it before it being talked about here.
 
lol Yuki's looking down again, like she does a lot in photoshoots (not for tv program pics, since they can get a screen shot of the pic of her looking up at the camera) though I think this time they wanted to make it look like she was playing, which yeah, since she does play in the concert. lol She's the queen over the other girls, which is why she is in front. She is directing them kind of, is the feeling I get in this photo. (I know they have choreographers for the concerts) I seem to remember all dvds/Blu-rays being this blue color after After Eden, it's like she really liked it and said, let's go with it for the rest of them. Even the Live books are that way. I do like blue, it is one of my favorite colors, just making an observation. I don't think the cover's horrible, but they could have had the girl's lit up, and still have a shadowy effect in the background.

love Rie Akagi, love Yuriko but dislike Yuuka to the core.

by the way, the cover is a big meh; the eyes are creepy and the asymmetry of the girls is a bit jarring.

I think the asymetry isnt that much of a problem, since if you consider that this wasnt a photoshoot but just a picture out of the live, you will see that unless the girls were told to be symmetrical for the photo, there's no way they could be.
