To each his own, I guess. :ohoho:

I actually preferred HP8 much more TF3 (TF3 was really overcooked, IMO).

Acutally i may thinking of comparison of both whole series :ohoho:

Live Free or Die Hard

I never laughed so much in a movie. It's incredible the impossible scenes :XD: First time I saw a car destroying a chopper.

Watched Harry Potter 7.2 today.

I'll just focus on the problems I had with the movie as a whole.

Everything sucked, save for the music. Even though I've read all the books and watched all of the movies up to this point and I took my seat feeling like a wreck because it was the last movie, I didn't feel ANY emotion during the more intense scenes because they were edited/acted/scripted so badly. Also, the entire movie was about the final round of VOLDEMORT vs HARRY POTTER, but since the actors that play those characters really did not act well it was just this 2 hour bore fest of bad acting and CGI effects and scenery shots and yelling.

I left the theater feeling completely dissatisfied. :blood:

I'll have to agree with your points in the review. I felt it was alright...

Although, IMO, if I were to put a finger on something, it would be the ridiculous pacing of the film as the main source of problem.

Think about it, though. Jo Rowling took 700-odd pages to flesh out her characters. Whereas Tolkien did it in a lot less, say about 500 tops for material related to ROTK. Peter Jackson took over 3 hours to make that into a movie (and it still wasn't a perfect job, IMO). Whereas Yates did it in only 2 hours. Suffice to say, with soooo many things crammed into such a small space, I would be happy even with a CSI-style of procedural narration. Again, if Yates had been a little bit more adventurous and went for a 3.5hr block instead of the 2hr one, the outcome might have been a little different.

Not forgetting to mention that hype is also a double-edged sword, too. Too much hype before a bad film only serves to make the reception worse.

My 2 cents.

The Lightning Thief = :bloodlust: :psst: :desksweat:

Cliche after cliche...the book was mediocre, but the movie script was just pathetic.

And the special effects = :omg: :blood: :imdead:

In short, they looked like TV FX, and this is a one-year-old MOVIE! The Balrog looked better than Hades, and the Balrog was CG'd back in 2003! :wai:

Well, the Percy Jackson kid was a decent actor and not bad-looking either , and the direction was all right.

Looking forward to Strangers on a Train and The Razor's Edge now :stars:

Yeah it wasn't what i expected too :uh..:

Strangers on a Train today...Hitchcock is a MASTER :omg:

The direction, the acting, the photography, the lighting, the music...I could not think of one thing to change :sohappy:

Let's hope Hollywood doesn't get it in its head to remake the thing with Justin Timberlake and Philip Seymour Hoffman :ohoho:

Rambo: First Blood (1982 and 1985)

It's soooo cheesy, it's entertaining! :XD:
