Kalafina's 17th single "Ring your Bell"

I love everything about this single <3 I wasn't too thrilled with Believe but I loved the B-sides, however, I love how bright and like, let's go forward! the melody in this one is. I love bright songs so much, it's just what I wanted to hear now! The only thing that worries me a little is that more and more Hikaru is used as a support vocalist instead of given many solo lines. I'm worried because she's my favorite and she hasn't been a main since she shared that with Wakana in Kimi no Gin no Niwa. Let's hope that it's just for this time, she does killer harmonies too though, so I'm ok with the diversification (for now). Also we need another Keiko led A-side. Alleluia is one of my favorite Kala songs, I want more of that.

And I love Koibito. It's a mysterious song in the vein of Tsuioku and Utsukushisa, which are some of my favorites. I'm convinced that line in the second verse is Hikaru's, at least the first phrase is, she has a special power to her voice that comes through in that particular part.

I want an album soon!!!

I have been refraining myself from listening to any of the songs, now I can listen to my heart's content :dote:
 
ring your bell: I love this! It is bright, much brighter than believe. I will love the instrumental too. It's so energetic. The bridge after the Kajiurago part is just love. The ending is very very nice. I think Hikaru is more dominant in this song, just because she sounds louder than Wakana. But that's just me. I do like this song a lot though. It does sound a bit like a RHH theme, but probably too fast.

Koibito: I love how it starts. So beautiful. Then it gets a little faster. Wakana sounds amazing in this song. I think she sounds better than before in this single. Oh wow, the guitar solo! I think ninetales would love this. I love this song. It took a little getting used to at first, but then it was awesome!

ring your bell (in the silence): I like it. It sounds like a church hymn. Probably won't be repeating it over and over though.

ryb Instrumental: Yep, love it. It actually reminds me a lot of Tsubasa. I am thinking of believe in there. But then the chorus part sounds a little like misterioso. I love strings, so this calls to me. I can really hear the melody when listening to this. It's lovely.

I really enjoy this single. I liked believe, but this is so awesome. I would love to hear Koibito live. I think it could be done. Finally new Kalafina to tie me over until a new album, hopefully sooner than later. :dote:Haven't watched the PV yet, but will do that later today.
 
You're all making me feel much more hopeful about being able to enjoy these new songs.

In the meantime, I really should stop hitting 'Refresh' on my Amazon JP orders page and head out to go to IT class...

ring your bell: The harmonies in this song are absolute love, the way the three way harmonies are constructed - especially in the bridge - are just beautiful. Each of the girls' singing is amazing here, Wakana sounds like her old self, Hikaru sounds fresher, and Keiko great as always! This isn't my favourite song on the single, but the harmonies take my heart away.

Koibito no Mukashigatari no Yuugure no: Favourite track on the single. It has such a dark feel to it, and no matter how much I'm sick of Wakana led songs, her voice suited this song. I have no words I love it so much!

ring your bell (in the silence): Much more calming than ring your bell, and I like it more. Creepier too, it brings kind of a darker tone to the anime that contrasts with the feeling RYB gave off. Really like it!

Overall, like the entire single was great, but I'd love an album soon!
 
I've just listened to all songs from this album, and I gotta say I love Koibito no Mukashigatari no Yuugure no. :love:
 
So PV is nice, girls look beautiful :love: but it's a little boring - nothing happens. They're singing, going, staying... :spotlight:In moonfesta PV it were more requisites (and animals), in symphonia PV boy was running, etc.
