^ I was too hoping for a Kara no Kyoukai exclusive live (possibly with a full orchestra and chorus) I mean they did it for Madoka and they do it for games, why not for KnK too ? and then release a BD with it :stars:

Full orchestra and choir would be amazing. :nosebleed:

Regarding the "Hikaru would be stuck with only dramatic hand gestures" comment, I was referring to how she didn't have parts in the studio version of Snow Is Falling, irrc. Then again, she did get parts in the Japanese version, even if I thought Wakana and Keiko onlly worked better for that song, so she'd probably get some solos in the live version (another example of this: Interlude 01).

^well, Hikaru can sing the Yuriko parts *cough Hikari no Senritsu

^Were there Yuriko parts in Snow Is Falling? The lyrics page doesn't credit her as chorus. I'm listening to it right now, and I can only hear Wakana and Keiko.

Keep in mind that the booklet doesn't specify who sings what.

I actually think I can hear Yuriko in Snow is Falling. She's the one singing the highest notes in the bridge. Skip to 2:16, sounds like Yuriko sings "sorte moria" or something like that.

Hmm, relistening carefully to that part, it does sound more like Yuriko than Wakana. But it's too faint to be sure.

Btw, since we're already knee-deep in this completely off-topic conversation, here's something I've been wondering for a while: Anyone know if those "echo" parts in Inca Rose are Yuriko or Wakana? I've heard arguments in favour of both, and it sounds more like Wakana to me, but I don't think she's credited as chorus for the song. Add to that the digital effect on the voice and I just don't know.

Alright, I'll assume it's all Yuriko then and the digital effects are messing with me. Booklets are generally accurate and complete, right?

Hmm, though it looks like the KnK compilation album booklet doesn't give individual credits for the songs. So we'll never know about Snow Is Falling.

^ Yes it was but it did had the OK from the copyright owners.
George...I'd say that some fans wanting to do that and asking for the permission is the different story from the artists themselves deciding to make it. C'mon...holding a concert isn't 'free'. They couldn't do it if they weren't sure whether they can get enough audiences to cover all expense.. I don't know what games did you talk about but the popularity of Madoka's OSTs and KnK's OSTs (and also the animations.. I guess..) among non-Kajiura fans are completely different... :uh..:

^I pretty much agree with you that the logistics are a bit difficult. I'd be happy if they could hold a special Kalafina or FictionJunction live backed by a full orchestra and a choir. I think that has a higher possibility of succeeding compared to OST music, since there's more people willing to hear vocals backed by instrumentals as opposed to instrumentals with a sprinkling of vocals, myself included

I'm a bit confused by what you meant here though:
I don't know what games did you talk about but the popularity of Madoka's OSTs and KnK's OSTs (and also the animations.. I guess..) among non-Kajiura fans are completely different...
Are you saying Madoka is a lot more popular than KnK? I won't dispute that... for the animations... but I got the sense that KnK's soundtrack was hailed as one of Yuki's best while Madoka's was just considered "very good."

^ Its the same thing written in different ways, you dont need to worry about that :XD: The 3rd is how its written in jewish (I think) and the other are close to the america/europe way of writting, eg in greek its αλλήλουϊα which is closer to the first.

i can never remember how to spell alleluia correctly... :TdT: but to me it sounds more foreign/exotic, so i prefer that romanization.

btw that took me 3 tries to get before i gave up and looked at the thread title
