Kalafina new single"Alleluia"

I hope Kajiura writes about the song on twitter like she did for Consolation.
She did say that "Quo Vadis Domine" from Consolation was used without any Christian connotations (Lord/God, in general. Not referring to any particular religion), though I'm not sure about the other songs Kyrie and Red Moon.

I wouldn't mind a Keiko/Wakana ballad. Sorry, Hikaru. I just like their duets for ballads more.
So long as Keiko isn't stuck with only the opening lines...
Perhaps Kajiura knows, subconsciously, that Keiko needs more lines.
Good job, imaginary Keiko-chan. *thumbs up*

On another note. Ahh. I'm on the front page. ///

^
^ I agree 100%! :V:

Perhaps we might get a first, with Keiko being the main vocal for a single (the A-side at least). All the other have been Wakana or Hikaru or some combo, right?

Either way, I'm really intrigued by how this song could go. When I think of Alleluia, my first thought is of Randall Thompson's "Alleluia". Man, did those have some nice low notes. :XD: Though, I don't really want a gospel-esque piece. If it turns out similar to Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete Iku, I wouldn't mind.

I totally agree with what's said above :waii:
Keiko has SO few lines (besides the nearly inaudible( CD) harmonies she does) . I don't know the cause of this lack of using Keiko ; but i guess because she is unsuitable to lead in Kajiura's songs which generally require hight notes . But even in songs like consolation or Matta kaze ga where she could sing , she doesn't :uh..: I really hope Keiko will finally have her share in this single .

^Hopefully she will! Going by the album lead, it was Wa-Kei-Hi-Wa then now it's supposed to be Keiko's turn... or, at least something like TTB where everyone are more or less equal......

And besides she only has Teto to her name compared to Wakana's Oblivious-Lacrimosa and Hikaru's Progressive-Magia-Aria... :ayashii:

Hoping to have a ballad like Seventh Heaven...... :shy:

Still whatever happens, I can't wait for the song! :nosebleed:

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Hurray! New single!!!

But i wished to hear something new from FJ as well, they have been quiet for almost a year :comeback:

i need a new PV with yuriko inside :orz:

Alleluia, what a nice title ^^

I have a feeling that the song lyric will depict gloominess and despair :XD:

Yuki used Alleluia in Red Moon, which is a gloomy song.
Then, Rufus' Hallelujah is also gloomy.
Seems like many recent contemporary songs with Alleluia/Hallelujah in it are gloomy. :XD: :XD: :XD:

@Kowz: I agree about Ongaku, but Yami no Uta seems pretty evenly split between Keiko and Hikaru.

Oh, I would love some news about FJ, be it a new single, an album, or a DVD. :plz:

^ No its not evenly split, its 50% Keiko on first half and then 30% Keiko 20% hikaru on main vocal (and I would prefer if Hikaru wasnt singing in it, I always get scared when she starts singing on that song :XD:

^ Really? I know Keiko dominated the first half, but the second half seemed more dominated by Hikaru. Are we going by live or CD version? I guess I'll break it down:

:01-:44 = instrumental
:44-1:49 = Keiko
1:49-1:54 = a very brief Wakana/Hikaru bit
1:54-2:04 = Keiko
2:04-2:22 = Hikaru
2:22-2:30 = brief instrumental
2:30-2:48 = Hikaru
2:48-3:32 = instrumental/interlude (Is that Yuriko on the album vs Wakana in the live?)
3:32-3:45 = Keiko
3:45-3:51 = Hikaru
3:51-4:01 = Keiko (Only just noticed this, actually. It always sounded like they overlapped, especially in the live)
4:01-4:19 = Hikaru
4:19-4:27 = Yuriko(?) or Wakana in the live
4:27-4:45 = Hikaru
4:45-5:02 = instrumental

...huh, I guess it is more Keiko dominant. Sorry! It always seems pretty even when I just listen to it. :XD: And, I get scared too. I prefer Keiko's parts in this song. It fits her better, imho.

I'm probably the odd one out, but I wouldn't mind a gospel genre song. A nice change of pace from their usual, and potential for something very emotional.

And it'll be nice to hear Keiko lead a song that's a single. I don't think her Kalafina songs are anywhere near as good as her FJ songs either--I hope that changes.

^ Eh but in FJ she has sung only ballads (Kaze no Machi e, nohara [and well Houseki, but that's a cover]) while in Kalafina she's mostly in upbeat songs (Yami no Uta, Tetotetometome, Ongaku, and if you except Kimi ga Hikari no Kaete Iku and the interludes, she has only some bits here and there on other songs) so you cant really compare the songs of her in the 2 groups since they are of different pace.

Thanks to all above. I stand corrected.

Hmm, so will there be a PV? On one hand I would like a PV but on the other it's likely Kalafina would have to shoot 2 PVs in a short while, if you count the Madoka theme song......

^Thanks for the links. I will preorder now. Yes, it's before I've heard anything, but from that little blurb from Yuki I waaaant this single already. I do like the title more now too. heh (I am also getting both versions, since it says Anime Edition, I want the Kala cover too.)

Re:

Yeah, thanks for the links! Woah, its up on cdj already.
A good ballad sounds nice. I even wouldnt mind if it sounded gospel-like.
And yes please, please be Keiko on lead :TdT:

I absolutely agree. Even thou Im happy about Kalafina new single, I think maybe they are going a bit too fast while theres no move from FJ at all.

Hmm, October release date. I might be able to bundle this together with some other orders then.

@george
I don't see why they can't be compared, in the sense of 'I like her FJ songs more than her Kalafina songs.' I guess I should've phrased it a bit differently--I didn't mean it like, "The objective goddesses of song have determined that Keiko's FJ songs are more worthy of appreciation than her Kalafina songs."

Anyway, I was counting covers like Houseki and Synchronicity. Also compared some half-Keiko songs like Hoshikuzu and Gin no Hashi for FJ, Mune no Yukue and Magnolia for Kalafina, ect. And I forgot about Nohara, lol. Point is, none of her Kalafina songs have grabbed me as much as her FJ songs. Not to say all her FJ songs have been standouts (it's not a good sign that I forgot Nohara...) but I've liked them better as a whole.
