10th place for the first week, selling 11780 copies. Not good, but not that bad either. May have the least number of sales than other KnK related singles, though. I still really love this song.

Assuming I'm reading it correctly (since I can't read anything besides the numbers...), Alleluia already outsold Kagayaku, Moonfesta, Storia, and Progressive. Also, it was the top anime single of the week, iirc, so not a bad showing for something that's an epilogue made years after KnK's heyday.

Offtopic: I'm always surprised at the relatively low sales of the Kuroshitsuji singles, considering the anime/manga's massive popularity. I guess being an opening song rather than an ending song means a lot, unless the show is Madoka levels of success--only way to explain Lacrimosa selling less than Hikari no Senritsu, imo. Also, Lacrimosa's snippet not doing it justice + Kagayaku only being used for one episode, maybe?

^i'm actually still really surprised that hikari no senritsu is up there. as far as i know, sora no woto was pretty far from popular (which is a shame) and despite YK calling it her "magnum opus of the decade" or something, not a lot of fans see it that way...

Really, Yuki called it that? I mean, I can't be counted as one of HnS's haters, but how it outsold Lacrimosa still baffles me--let alone it being anything close to Yuki's best.

I actually disagree with you there. The best part of the song, for me, was what happened after the bridge... It's bouncing along all cute and stuff... and then, assuming my interpretation of the lyrics isn't totally off, someone dies. That made me appreciate the song infinitely more.

^ yes the part in which you talk about is indeed cute but I include that part inside the bridge, the boring part is after it starting at 04:28

Wow, it took me until now to realize the song is over six minutes long. Okay, in theory, I understand where you're coming from. But considering I never noticed this at all... I don't think it dragged, for me. I dunno if I like the song any more than you do, but I guess we don't share the same criticisms.

Just listened to Alleluia :XD:

I love all Yuriko's part, all the part that has Kajiurago and the melody of Wakana's part (inori wa doko ni mo, uzukumatta mama, subete no inochi ga and ame no naka de ryoute) in the chorus ^^

The best part of that song is the two "weird" tempo changes that made me pay attention to the every single music cues to sing "adia sorima..." and "alleluia ah..." at the right time lol

Wth, Yuki, what's up with those two weird sudden tempo changes.... lol
A simple song is not so simple after all :XD: :XD: :XD:

Alleluia already surpassed Lacrimosa in total sales from 5 week charting in Oricon chart. Since Lacrimosa sold around 18k copies, I'm glad this single do quite well. :sohappy: Even if it's nothing compared to Kimi no Gin, though. :XD:
