Kalafina Moonfesta (11th single)

Well...I do hear a lot of similarities in the other song, although the choruses are missing. This is a tad disturbing...

After listening to Moonfesta again, I can safely say that for some reason, I just don't care about it. I know I should like it, but it seems like a conglomerate of varied styles, and it just...doesn't make me care. :spotlight:
 
I heard them closely, and there are minor differences although the key changes are very similar. The chorus and verse are completely different though, so who knows.
 
Now, whenever I listen to moonfesta, I'll think of it as the "Majora's Mask Plagiarism Homage" lol

Oh wow~This is certainly a different type of song than what I imagine~I'm expecting something more cuter~Ah well,this is cute though,Kalafina-like cute~I like it!For me,it is like a song from those old Arab movies in the 1960s~ :ohoho:
 
Sorry but I just burst out laughing the second the intro started. It does sound similar to "Majora's Mask" in an unsettling way but yeah, for a Kala song, it skewed my expectation of it being predictable (in that I was expecting it to sound like "storia" or "Hikari no Senritsu" etc.) so maybe it's fine. :XD:

Oh wow! I also thought of Majora's Mask! :ohoho: I can't believe I couldn't name the MM song until I saw the video, though. :omg: Thanks for posting the videos, Kazado and Kenji. :D

I like the verses, but I guess that is expected, since I enjoy that particular song from MM. I'm not sure about the chorus yet... I'll have to listen to it more times to get a better judgement. The instrumental sounds like it'll be awesome, though. :sohappy:
 
I don't know what is Majora's Mask. The flute sound of "moonfesta" sounds like a background music for Arabic movies, full of mystery and mischief. In European term, I think it would be described as fairies' music (imagine little fairies flying around with flute music of "moonfesta"). The whole song itself really suits the Japanese children image.
 
damn, moonfesta sound nice but to think that its copy of another melody :uh..: Any possibility Sony has bought the copyright for the Majora Mask one?

Also judging by the fact that others hve plagiarized Yuki's songs in the past (see here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3315&hilit=, that video has been taken down (by the wrong company too) , see here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi8imK9UOvw) I guess its a common practice among artists :XD:
