Kalafina Moonfesta (11th single)

I don't hear any similarity. The songs are both 3/4 time, but the chord progressions and melody lines are completely different.

kind of oftopic but I today spotted a similaritiy between "Life goes on" by Mika Arisaka (composed by Yuki) and oblivious.

Life Goes On moeagaru
inochi ga aru kagiri

http://canta-per-me.net/lyrics/oblivious/
oblivious
doko he yuku no
tooku ni mieru ano shinkirou

But i guess its such a small similarity that due to the fact that Life goes on isnt a popular song like oblivious and the completely different arrangement, wasnt spotted :XD:

^ Yes you're right, I even noticed a bit of similarity in Eternal Blue and to The Beginning

Eternal Blue:
yumemiteru sora wa aoku

To The Beginning:
nagusame wa sutete yukeru

^^ I disagree that Life Goes On isn't a popular song because its in the top 10 of oricon for how many weeks. For one reason, Life Goes On was released about 3-4 years (I'm not sure though) so the popularity is seen as something that is apparent.

In that case, as of 2012, it is safe to say that oblivious is relatively more popular than Life Goes On.

Oh but the melody at those instances you mentioned are really similar.
