Kalafina "Magia" 2011/02/16

At least for me, I don't see them being necessarily acknowledged by mainstream community, since there is a heavy tie-in here. If a single with no tie-in at all, such as Progressive was, achieved the same thing, then I would think like that. Just like many artists out there that have big sales when their single has a good tie-in but do not have nearly the same sucess when releasing something that isn't related to anime/games/whatever at all. But in a sense, I agree that Magia is more of a mainstream song than many of their other songs.

hmm, iwant kalafina tobe on world's no.1 top chart. but i think if that happened i will lost things that makes me exclusive for being Kalafina fan.

T____T..I'm so moving when I saw the oricon chart today....It's the first time that they reach top5...T^T... Well...being mainstream or not is not a problem...what I want to celebrate for their "being in top 5 of oricon daily chart" for the first time is just it's good that so many people bought their singles.

Even they're just MSMM fans, they wouldn't buy it if they don't like the song. At least, they accepted Magia as good ED for their beloved anime, so they bought it. I don't care about tie-in thing...just see it as a way to promote their music... Not different from the way that mainstream singers can promote their music through their loyal fanclubs or TV/radio program.

Ah..today is a happy day for me... :dote: .

I'm so proud of them they are simply amazing. They deserve all the sales in the world :sohappy:

F**K AKB48whatever and their suck ass music :knife: 600,000?! WTH!!! Oh well...it reminds me when Utada brought out Heart Station and damn EXILE with their TOO MANY members brought out their best of album and it beat her!! How does an original album with all new material not make a worthier purchase then a damn best of...its always backwards when it comes to music...

Regardless...ahem I'd be perfectly content with them being in the top ten perpetually with all their future releases. Simply because it guarantees them a longer music career and they won't be sooo dauntingly famous. Like when Utada visited...it was a pain at her concert...soooo many people I could hardly breathe.. :omg: At the Kalafina concert in Boston it was only like a handful of people who knew who they were..so it was much more enjoyable.

I don't care about the mainstream issue, as long as Kalafina remains true to their sound and image. The music comes first, and that's what matters the most to me. But if by their songs they gain more recognition as a side-effect, then that's great for them. :sohappy:

3rd day sale was 3,227 copies. Total sales for 3 days now 13,289 copies. Waiting for 4th day's ranking (coming soon).

EDIT:
Oricon daily chart 4th day:
*1 AKB48
*2 テゴマス
*3 コブクロ
*4 Kalafina

:sohappy:

If this beats Oblivious first week sales (17k), this gonna be the best selling single (first week) ever.

I'd attribute it to the anime edition having an attractive cover for Madoka fans (who probably don't even care about the actual CD).

The anime edition always ranked higher on Amazons chart.

Wow! Go go Kalafina!!! :sohappy:

The atmosphere of 'snow falling' is soft, and it reminds me of this onion: :dote:

Kagayaku also got an anime edition with Kuroshitsuji cover, but no different tracklist (that's important). If Madoka have more fans than Kuroshitsuji I cut the net wire just now.

@Alphie: my friend is Kpop fan lawl :XD:
And my friends are Kpop fans too, even they who loved Kalafina too. While for me, Kpop is :blood: all of Kpop songs have the same beat (upbeat music with dances.

Madoka could be have more fans than Kuroshitsuji because Madoka has a power on its moe-character design even the storyline is so dark. Japanese tend to love moe-character *as far as I know*. And for they who love story with dark-plot, Madoka has it on. And don't forget to mention the awesome music of Kajiura-sama and Magia as the ending theme. Some of people who watch Madoka said that They watch Madoka because of Magia~~ :dote:
Although I'm still one of Kuroshitsuji fans~~
