+1~ my friends here who watch Madoka Magica said that they fall in love with Magia~ and I agree with you that casual-listeners that never hear Kalafina's works before would fall in love with this single..Yuki88 said:I assume Kalafina fans+Madoka Magica fans+Casual listeners who've fallen in love with Magia.
Magia is quite well-received by the mainstream music listener, of anyway. I have some friends who aren't even Kalafina fans but they like Magia(not buying though, unfortunately).

Just take it easy, I bet Yuki88 knew what you mean~ and I do have a same wishful thinking with you~~joel_jman said:yuki88 said:they can reach #1 if no mainstream artist is releasing on the same day, same week. Didn't I say this already...
that was just wishful thinking, yknw?
Same here. I have a few Japanese friends who mostly listen to mainstream JMusic and I remember them asking me around a year back which Japanese artists I like listening to. When I slipped in the name "Kalafina" back then, all of my friends admitted they have never heard of Kalafina before (for understandable reasons music genre-wise I guess). Just recently, they brought up Kalafina again and they told me Magia's ranking in the Oricon caught their attention. They said they really like the song after listening to a sample of it, and they found it "catchy" in a unique and refreshing sense compared to the other songs they listen to nowadays. A couple of them even told me "Ah, is this that "Kalafina" you mentioned before last time? Their music is very interesting and I'll look out for their songs next time too." It's quite a difference from back then when they wouldn't bother trying out songs from artists they have never heard of before or are not familiar with. Makes me so proud and happy for Kalafina as a fan.Yuki88 said:Magia is quite well-received by the mainstream music listener, of anyway. Well, that's the impression I got from my Japanese friends as well as their opinions of the general population when it comes to music reception in Japan. To second Yuki88's comments, Anison actually isn't that big in Japan compared to mainstream music contrary to common opinions.ZoaKaizer said:So, even in Japan Kalafina fans is only from certain group of people with distinguish music taste/genre ?
