What an asshole.

Cool! Thanks for sharing, KPX :XD: Makes me appreciate the song even more ^_^;

:blood: Was Hikaru's part in the original? Either that or her mic was turned up too high for her part...

No, in the studio recording, serenato was sung only by Wakana with Yuriko and Yuki in chorus.

maybe its hard of Hikaru to hear her own voice on the stage.

and not enough training to sing Serenato perhaps ?

You forgot Keiko! ;__;

I don't even know the name of it in my own language but, don't singers generally use some kind of instrument in their ears in shows in order to hear themselves and the other instruments? From what I have seen, not a single Kajiura singer uses that. Why is that? I am not a professional singer, far from it, but just from singing in karaokes in events I can notice how necessary this equipment is.

You mean in-ear monitor (IEM)?? Yeah I've never seen any of them using IEM, except Yuuka during Animelo 2009.

and about the tickets, just wait? :XD:

Exactly! That's the word I was looking for :XD:
That is extremely strange. I mean, the IEM may be expensive, but I believe that they would be able to afford it, right? And it is extremely useful, especially in these kind of shows in which they sing with karaoke rather than a real band. In this kind of place, they tend to put the karaoke too loud, and then you are not able to hear your own voice. Sometimes I believe that happened in the sprinter live from Anime Boston. At least here in my country they ALWAYS put the song too loud in karaokes :uh..:

I'd always been under the impression that they did a lot better with a live band backing them up, even without IEMs, and that they felt they didn't need to start using them when they started doing lives with playback. Except in the latter case it doesn't seem to be working out so well...

If Yuriko and Yuki were on stage with them, they wouldn't have a problem. :ohoho:

No, but seriously, I've never been a fan of Kalafina lives. They seem to only have one good song for every five bad ones. :uh..:

I've heard a couple of live songs on Youtube (yes, believe it or not someone managed to upload them! :omg: ) and from what I can hear, they're great! The songs were Lacrimosa, Oblivious, and Progressive. (Kizuato and Aria too, but with Maya.) I personally think they sing awesomely without wearing monitors, aside from the occasional slip. :shy:

EDIT

Finally listened to that Serenato live, and it almost sounds to me like whoever had the camera was standing too close to whatever speaker was playing the most of Hikaru's singing...it's weird, since she's supposed to be singing the background part. :uh..:
