I thought that dinosaur comment was pretty cute. I skipped over the Chicago museums on this visit so I'll need to visit them next time. Still a little burnt out on museums after my trip last year.

Happy to read that both Keiko and Hikaru found their experience performing in Chicago memorable. Audience participation wasn't the same as how their performances in Japan may have been, but I think we tried to loudly cheer and applaud them after every song to show we were enjoying their performance.
 
Did anyone notice she said single instead of signal? lol

And yes, please do come back! I'm only a little ways away. Next year if possible!
 
Yeah, those are ribs. They look very tasty. But I wish they would have had Pepsi instead of that c word. lol Yeah, I wondered if they finished it all. It would have been interesting to see. I can never finish even a half rack.

:omg: Is it just me or do not only the ribs but the drinks as well look huge?! Or is it just that the girls have small dainty hands and faces in comparison... :ayashii: They just get prettier and prettier... :love:

Oh, that was probably because they took multiple pics and were like "okay, now!" and everyone wasn't quite ready yet. lol I didn't even bother to wave some of the time since I was in the balcony, but if they had panned up just a bit, maybe you could have seen me.

Anddd haha frankly I wasn't planning to translate Hikaru's one because she tends to write somewhat poetically especially in the first paragraph so I had no idea how to properly translate that :XD: But I'll see what I can do when I have the time!

本を見ていると、近くで小さな男の子が楽しげに本を見ていました。微笑ましく思っていると、後ろから彼を追いかけてきた彼のママの声が。
「ねー〇〇君、恐竜図鑑3冊も持ってるのにまた恐竜なの?ママそんなに恐竜図鑑増えたら困っちゃうよ。」

うちには恐竜図鑑含め恐竜本が10冊くらいあります…

同じ恐竜好きとして、困らせてなんかすみません。
でも、「飼いたい!」とは絶対に言い出しませんので。それだけは確かですから。

ちょっと時間が経ってしまいましたが、シカゴの5日間は本当にあっという間で、かつ濃厚な、楽しい日々でした!
また、Kalafinaとして新しい経験をたくさんさせていただきました。

ライブでは初のバンドさんとの海外公演ということもあり、お客様もいつもの海外のリアクションとは少々違っており、ゆったりと聴いてくれている印象でした。

もちろん、楽曲によっては会場が震えるほどのアクションも見せてくれ、会場全体が熱気に包まれた、そんな一晩でした。

会場の"Rosemont Theater"は、2階席もある大きなホール。
たくさんの方が来てくれて、本当に良かったです。

アメリカに行き、ライブをして、サイン会やパネルディスカッションなどでお客様と触れ合えた時間はとても貴重でした。

中でも、一番「伝えられたことへの喜び」を感じたのはライブ翌日以降。

ホテルのロビーやエレベーター等には、イベントへ参加しているアメリカ中のコスプレイヤー達でごった返しているのですが(その中ではむしろKalafinaの衣装は地味な方です)、そんな彼らが私たちを見つけると、「もしかしてKalafina?」と声を掛けてくれるようになったのです。
皆一同に、「昨夜のライブは素晴らしかったよ!」と伝えてくれるんです。

なんて嬉しいことなのだろうと、本当に本当に胸が熱くなりました。

たくさんのアメリカで出逢った方々、行けなかったけど応援していたよ!という方々、皆さんに感謝します。
どうもありがとうございました!

そして、バンドメンバーさんと、一緒に日本から来てくれたチームKalafinaの皆!
いつもと変わらない環境を作ってくださった皆さんに、心から感謝します。
ありがとうございました!

Ah, so Wakana got to see the Field Museum after all! Looks like she enjoyed it. :ohoho:

I was there myself on Saturday but running into them would've taken more luck than I have in my entire lifetime...
